Hoover Pro Deluxe Bagless Canister Vacuum, SH40230CA

I use to sell Electrolux and this Hoover is as good if not better , lots of power to.clean messes up quickly , when using the power head it runs otself , so hold er back and let er go , I recommend it , I wouldn't doubt that it's as good as the Dyson canister but a hell of a lot cheaper .

Honestly, this vacuum is pretty good. It is fairly quiet, easy to maneuver, and lightweight. But I went from vacuuming with a shop vac to this one, so anything will feel light and quiet after that. But I'm impressed with its performance so far and very happy with the purchase. The only negative I can think of is the metal stick - when you use it to do edges, because it's metal, it feels like it will scratch the floor. So far it hasn't. And since it's metal I'm guessing it will last longer, so there's a tradeoff. Frankly, this is a pretty decent machine. I hope it lasts.

This is a great vacuum. I had purchased the previous model and it lasted 9 years. We only had to replace it with this one because it was damaged in a flood in our basement. I am very pleased with this new vacuum too. Works great on carpet and hard floors. Easy to dispose of the dirt at the end of your vacuuming session.

I bought this vacuum because the write-up and pictures seemed to show all you needed to do is empty the canister.I was tired of my old vacuum, having to take it apart to clean all the filter and mechanism was a real pain. A part on it finally broke so I went shopping.This hoover was on sale, and it was less expensive than locally so I ordered it in.Well, turns out you need to remove the canister, empty it, remove the top of the canister and clean the filter, and there is also an exhaust filter that needs to be cleaned. Since the canister is clear, you better wipe it off inside too or it will still look dirty even after emptying it.If I had of known this before I ordered, I would have gone with a unit that uses a bag. I'm tired of cleaning vacuum cleaners.On the other hand, the suction is great on this new Hoover, the power head works very well and is light, making it easy to push around. The canister is also pretty light so the entire vacuum is easy to use.Unfortunately there is no place to store the attachments. They did put a groove on the rear of the canister so you can hook the power head into the groove, but it's not very convenient, not strong at all, and the head actually touched the ground when you place it in the groove. I don't find it useful at all. It seems like an accident waiting to happen so I'm not using it. There are no clips or anything for storing the other attachments.The shaft attachment is nice and long and telescopes so you can make it as short or as long as you need.About a year ago I bought a pack of new attachments, and the didn't fit my vacuum. I bought an adapter, and it still didn't fit. Now, all the attachments I bought fit on this Hoover, so I have extra attachments for cushions, floor and a far nicer fuzzy brush than the one the vacuum comes with.If the vacuum is reliable, then it's a good deal at the $200 price I paid for it.I would still have purchased a canister that uses bags over this type if I had of known about having to take it apart to clean it.

Very good vacuum for the money .This vacuum really sucks wow I mean that in a good way. Build quality seems pretty good overall excellent vacuum. Don't hesitate get one. it's a pretty damn good machine
