General The Peavey MAX 208 is a bass guitar amplifier with 200 Watts of power and two premium 8-inch speakers with DDT protection. While it shapes a solid sound in smaller rooms, its smart design renders it well-suited for larger gigs. Via a diverse set of controls and switches, including bass, gain and treble, overdrive and contour, the sound can be extensively tweaked to taste and, in addition, there's a kosmos-c switch for more control over the lows, while the pre-gain can be increased using the TransTube gain boost.
