It's a quality unit. Feels well made and I have no safety concerns. We like the main power switch incase we want to kill power to the unit. The spacing and positioning of the side outlets is genius. It really does make a difference when plugging in larger adapters. I've had other devices in the past where some outlets went un-used because of space issues. This design solves that entirely.I couldn't use the included center screw because our outlets are a more modern design without visible screws. So we have it just plugged in without the screw to anchor it. Even without the center screw it feels snug and I don't foresee an issue moving forward.I can't comment on the USB speeds as I have fast charging power adapters for when I need rapid charging. It's nice to have them for the additional plugging options so I'm glad they're there regardless of their speed.All in all, this is a pretty good unit. Allows us to have one designated charging station and keep the cables organized instead of scattered all over the place. It's a good product.

Provides very good overall features.Angled sides that help with plugging in adapters. (Get a unit without angled sides if you want to use it behind furniture, but recognized that you may not be able to plug in larger adapters.)Has the top receptacle at the sides inverted which is smart. Will allow one to 'flip' an adapter even if it has a polarized plug.Provides you with 8 plugs and 3 USB ports. USB ports have limited amperage (which is the norm for units like this).Good spacing between outlets.Has a screw to securely fasten to outlet. (Not all do.)Has a switch. (Most don't.)Has surge protection, but they tell you nothing about the design or specs other than it is 1440 J. This is a bit lower than some current units, but still very good. My reason for deducting a star.I did have a challenge plugging into one of the sockets suggesting that the internal alignment (manufacturing) was out a bit.Note to use in a kitchen outlet - Kitchen counter outlets are typically 2 separate circuits. That is, each outlet socket has it's own 15A circuit unlike (say) a living room outlet where both sockets are on a single 15A circuit. If you plug an outlet extender like this into a kitchen outlet, you are getting use of only 1 of the 2 circuits. That is, you will only have 15A available to you in total instead of 30A. You are not going to be able to plug in 2 high wattage (eg 1500W) appliances into the extender simultaneously whereas you could have done so with the bare outlet.Overall, pleased with the feature set for the price.

This is a perfect plug addition to our main hallway wall plug outside the kitchen area. Lots of space - sleek and love the fact its a surge protector. Cable running upwards is into a complex digital weather station monitor. Recommend lots of there items. All well made. Happy Customer who corresponded in great detail with customer service before buying several items. I like the option of having surge protectors with and without USB. Make sure if you are looking for surge protection don't buy the cruise ship offerings.Just added a second one in the kitchen!!! Great products!!
