My teenager just recently entered that part of her life where she now needs to think about things like this, and was not comfortable going in the pool. So when I came across these I was quick to order them and see what they were like.For reference, my 13-year-old daughter is 5'7 and wears a kids size 14/16, or women's size 1 to 3. I got the extra small for her and they fit perfectly. They don't cut into her side at all but they also don't fall down.She's able to swim comfortably and then get out of the pool without fear of anything happening. She ran around for hours with her friends during a pool day and completely forgot that she was wearing them but also didn't have any embarrassing accidents.They are easy to clean and very modest. They'd be great for a teenager all the way up to an adult.Definitely recommend these!
