good scanner, good screen resolution, has many features but need to buy subscription for more of the advanced tools but should be suffice for the average diy home mechanic, try it out to see if if it can do what you need before condemning it or returning it

I got this Launch scanner for my home garage since I work on my Ford and GM trucks. Initial setup was easy, it connected to my vehicles without problems and the screen is clear enough to read in daylight. The autoVIN feature works good - automatically detects the car info which saves time.What nobody tells you is that many of the advanced features require a subscription that costs extra. The basic scanning works fine but when I tried to access deeper system diagnostics and some of the reset functions, it asked for payment. For the price I paid, I expected everything to be included without extra fees. It does what I need for now but feels misleading when they advertise "lifetime free updates" but still limit functionality without paying more. Expensive tool that doesn't give full access without additional costs.
