Powermatic V+ Electrical Cigarette Injector Machine with Tobacco Hopper and Auto Tube Loading

Is this thing perfect? No. What it is is an RYO machine that does a fascinating job of automating the process. When I first got it, I was having a failure rate of probably 1 in 5, if not worse. After studying the operation and figuring out why it was failing, I determined that the biggest issue with this is the completed cigarette sometimes does not fall far enough to get clear of the loading mechanism. Sometime cigarettes would fall fine, but a lot of times they would fall butt end first and sit vertically with the open end sitting right at the output of the hopper. This would interfere with the feeding of the next tube and result in frequent failures.To fix this, I simply put the loader on about a 3 inch tall box and put the output tray on the table to give it a further fall distance. This pretty much fixed the problem. The previous failure problems would not only fail the load, it would stop the machine. Now, it still has some failures, but everything properly clears the loading area and continues operating. I can do a full hopper or about a pack of cigarettes now completely unattended. My most recent run resulted in 19 cigarettes and 3 failed tubes.The good part about the failures is that they do not destroy the tube, they are just no longer suitable for automatic feeding. I can hand feed the failures and still get a cigarette out of them. I've currently run about 1000 tubes through it and even with the worst failures I maybe lost 3 tubes that could not be used at all. So, again, it's not perfect, but I honestly think it is about as good as it can get for an automatic machine for home use.

Okay so I upgraded from the powermatic 3 to the v finally, best decision I made. The cutter actually cuts the tobacco up perfectly, no more precutting it which is awesome. My wife's menthol tobacco always gave me such a problem in the powermatic 3 and now with this one I just fill the hopper and go. It does take longer because we use the 100mm tubes and the tray for self feeding only takes kings but still it's so much easier. Seems very well built and powerful. We've made over 1,000 cigarettes with is so far and very little jams, well worth the money. Only suggestion to make it better would be make the automatic feeder take 100mm tubes as well as kings but still not a big deal for how easy this one is.

You know, I saw all the negative comments and reviews and since I have used Powermatic. devices for years I. decided that I would buy the big guy(4). With the cigarette tube attachment and I was fully willing to take my chances. I know I'm not getting paid for this, but I wish I was. Ever since I got this machine, it has been cigarette bliss. Now I have rolled over 1000 cigarettes you. using the machine and there have only been three errors - And all of those were due To misshapen tubes. I use gambler red and. that seems to work with the machine just right out of the bag. The only other thing that I did when I purchased the machine is I bought a very good high quality bottle brush set that can get into all the nooks and crannies of the machine. After a run, which is usually. two packs. I go through the main. spoon and make sure that it's spotless That there is no tobacco residue left. on the spoon whatsoever.. And as I said to date, I have not had one jamming issue with the machine. So I'm kind of thinking that maybe they upped their game and changed the machine around a bit. Cause this just doesn't sound like it does in the other reviews. However, I cannot deny the fact that the thing is working nearly perfectly. In contrast, I bought a golden rainbow before this machine. And that was a nightmare jamming up constantly terrible at making cigarettes. Ruining tubes. The tubes get bent up in the carrier. The machine jams and the light blinks And you can hardly get it unjammed. The only thing that machine did for me was make me use twice as many tubes as I should have. They are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves. But this unit, the power matic - gets 5 starts from me. Just keep it clean and it will take care of the rest. If you are looking for a Golden Rainbow I have one for sale on the cheap side. It's just not worth the hassle working with that contraption and all the things that can go wrong with it. Get this one, and you will be happy you did. Oh, and with the Powermatic - no more grinding your tobacco before use, the tubes load much faster - and for that matter the whole matching is much faster than the other although they claim 10 cigs in 2 1/2 minutes. I timed a pack in this machine - and it came in slightly under 3 mins for whole pack. The machines don't lie, and the behaviors of the machines don't lie.
