That's why Scott uses the highest quality carbon fibers on the market and combines them with specific processes such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to optimally map the carbon layer structure.With FEA, Scott can simulate various forces on a virtual frame model and adapt the design accordingly. This software enables the creation of complete virtual prototypes that take into account all physical phenomena from the real environment.Thanks to EvoLap technology, Scott models the frame to optimize the surface area. Tube shapes are simulated using differently oriented carbon layers, the load distribution in different areas is tested and the results of different configurations are analyzed.The extensive computer modelling has enabled Scott to optimize the carbon layers in all parts of the frame. Assembling the first prototypes resulted in a super light and compact frame, without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefits from EvoLap technology. Mahle X20 drive unitThe Mahle X20 motor is silent and completely resistance-free. The technology behind it uses a special assistance system for road bikes, which not only ensures a natural riding experience when the rider exceeds 25 km/h and the assistance is switched off, but also when it is switched on again. The transition is smooth, it doesn't jerk and there is no unnatural boost in between - it's subtle and light. What's more, thanks to the torque and cadence sensor in the bottom bracket, it also learns from your riding style and adapts its responses and support to you. The Mahle X20 system is one of the lightest on the market with a total weight of 3.2 kg and a maximum torque of 55 Nm. Mahle IX250The Addict eRIDE has a 236 Wh battery that is inconspicuously placed in the down tube. The battery has intelligent technology with the function that the battery can be charged to 80% of its full capacity in less than two hours. The battery gives the bike a sleek look and is not too bulky, keeping it light and closer to an acoustic bike. Mahle HMI controlThe Mahle HMI controller is discreetly built into the top tube. The remote control is minimalist and simple, but provides all the data you need while riding. With just one glance, you get an overview of the battery status, support mode, warnings and notifications. With the controller, you can easily switch the drive unit on and off and switch between support modes. My Smartbike appThe Mahle My SmartBike app keeps you up to date with everything concerning your bike. You can easily track your ride, perform system updates within minutes and view the status of your bike. Here you can also adjust the motor and enter how you like the support and pedal response. It can be easily integrated with recorded Strava activities, which can be viewed in the app. Support modesThe X20 system from Mahle offers four riding modes: ECO, Mid-Power, Turbo and Smart-Assist. Smart-Assist mode responds to the rider and adjusts the assistance according to weight, power and the way the terrain changes during the ride. With Smart Assist mode, the driver does not have to adjust the driving mode, but the system adapts the modes to the terrain. Mahle Range ExtenderThe Addict RC eRIDE is compatible with a range extender, which provides an additional 171 Wh and a total output of 407 Wh. The range extender comes in the design of a simple water bottle. Connecting it to the system is as simple as sliding a bottle into the water bottle cage and the system automatically adjusts to the two power sources.
