Easy to install but difficult to use. Regret buying this.

Recently painted my doors a bright white and these look so sharp against it. I didn’t notice in the ad that they were lockable so FYI they are.Super easy to put together but comes with everything including screwdriver. Fantastic if you’re like me and just moved in.. didn’t have to hunt down any tools.

Purchased Aug 10, installed about 2 weeks later. It is now Dec 24 and 2 of the 3 knobs have already failed. And not only did they fail, but they fail in the worst way. The latch stays engaged so, while you can turn the knobs and it isn't locked, the failed mechanism does not allow the latch to retract inside, allowing the door to open. This means that, in order to get the knob off of the door, significant effort must be exerted and significant damage is unavoidable.The first time that this happened, it was to my ensuite bathroom. No one was inside, but we had all been locked out. The second time, my 2 year old toddler was locked in my bedroom unattended. It took quite some time to get the door open. This is a huge safety issue!!So not only was my child's safety threatened with this purchase, but the damage done to both doors, will definitely cost me a lot on my security deposit upon moving. Now I am out what I paid for these, plus damages from their faulty products. They are lucky my child wasn't injured in the process, or I would have sued.

The best thing about this is that all I had to do was remove the existing door knob and replace it with this one. Just lucky all the holes lined up perfectly. So, it was a 2 minute job. I am a journeyman tradesman though so have had a Lot of experience doing these things...Only 4 stars though because I found the locking mechanism a little stiff and tricky. Might work better with the more use it gets...
