I work at a computer store, and I love these drives. They are cheap, have a very low fail rate, and perform similar to the Samsung drives.Dollar for dollar, I won't use any other drive.

I bought my first one because I needed the next day shipping. At this price, why buy used? This is an incredible price for an SSD, and you can see from the accumulated ratings they're dependable. I have 3 now and never an issue.

The SP 512GB SSD 3D NAND A55 SLC was bought teen weeks ago, still running smooth without any issue. Seem like it is not a 512 Gb, as my Windows 11 reports only 478 GB storage, still wondering why?????!!!! My assessment is the item seems good quality with cheap price for budget buyer; but the time will tell the quality of the product. By the way beware, technical support does not exist. Tried to install their utility SW from their web site for my SSD, It did not work. Requested for guidance and instruction, it has been three weeks, but no response from them as yet. That made me SAD. Dedicated support do not exist, only email (WOW, no good). If your item fails prior to 3 , there is no one to reach out, and you will be out of luck. This is one of the BAD part. Do not TRUST what they said on their website or on the product label. Thanks.Update: After I posted my review, I have received a response (after 30days) from the vendor support, and provided me a link to download, and use a third party utility SW for their device. The link directed to an old SW published on 4/2020; but the new version of the SW now is dated 12/3/2022. Wow!!! what a support!!!Update 3/26/2023: This SSD is not 512GB storage as advertised. This has been verified by multiple tools including SP’s own utility. This is misleading advertisement.

Installed easily, no issues with loading the operating system. Been running flawlessly for my son's gaming computer.

These are not a well known brand, nor are they the most or least expensive. Many years ago I began testing different SSD's to find some balance between the high end expensive drives and the cheaper less well known products. I do custom builds, repairs and computer upgrades for friends, neighbors and people in my church, so cost and reliability are both factors. A few people don't have tight budgets, so I run with Crucial, Intel or Western Digital drives. But most of the people I do this for are very budget conscious and I needed something i could support and they could afford. Out of 8 different less expensive drives, the SP drive has provided the value, speed and most of all, the reliability I need. With the newer m2 drives I really love, there is still a use for these 2.5" SP SSD's for older upgrades.
