These lights are bright and look great around my pool. They stay lit for a long time at night. I’m really disappointed though because the screws holding them together are already rusting. They all look similar to the one in the picture I attached. So while the main part of them seem to be stainless steel unfortunately the screws are not. I received them and put them out on June 13 and today’s June 25. It’s too bad because I was going to order another set because I need a few more of the lights but i guess I’ll have to keep shopping around…

These seem to be more robust than the ones I'm replacing (from another company) which after 3 years are dim and have extremely weathered - almost opaque - lenses over the solar panel. However after installing them my conclusions are:Re. the stakes1. The stakes really aren't any more robust than what I had before - three of them broke - one when removing from the light the round tab just broke off and was left in the light, and two the stakes bent and broke going into the ground.2. The stakes don't connect firmly into the light - they are not there to stop someone stealing them, just to stop the light blowing away or easily being dislodged - maybe by a lawnmower passing over it.3. It's hard to put the light onto the stakes when they are already in the ground so you'll have to connect the stakes first and then push it into the ground. If your grown is dry and hard like mine then that can require significant force which lead to a stake breaking. You might want to soak the ground first to make it easier.Re. the lightsThe are quite bright and more fool me I did not realize there were two colors when ordering. I got white and think I probably should have bought yellow which is closer to the color temperature of what I had before. After charging outside for most of the day I put them out and they turned on at around 8pm and my security camera says they were still lit a 5am when they turned off with the sun coming up. That's a good 9 hour stretch.Like all solar lights use batteries that have a memory effect and eventually will not last as long or even charge fully. My previous lights I just bought some replacement batteries for like $1 each and they were good for another year. However when installing my lights I had one fail - it was working before I pushed it into the ground but not after. So I opened up the light to see if something was broken and I found thata) the wires from the battery to the switch were no longer connectedb) it looks like the wires are either not well connected or will break if you open the light - I didn't open another to check because I didn't break itc) most importantly the battery is connected to the light permanently with soldered on connectors.c) means the battery is not end user replaceable and after a year or however long it takes for the memory effect to kill the battery you'll have to toss it or learn to solder. There's no popping another battery into each one for $1.c) probably means there's fewer problems with corrosion if your light is in a damp or wet location. I live in the desert and that's not an issue. Id' rather be able to replace the battery in a year or so. It would also be nice if you could replace the lens which is plastic and will inevitably go opaque due to sun damage thus reducing the ability of the battery to recharge.Overall if you are someone who will throw the lights away after a year or two you wont care, for me I'm disappointed.
