Since I fractured my 2nd metatarsal and having to wear the ortho boot and shoe for several months, my doctor recommended I wear a sturdy sneaker once the bones started to heal which took almost 6 months. Doctor said to get a sneaker that doesn't flex or bend. So I thought I would try this sneaker and it served the purpose. Although it does have a slight bend in the toe area, it's not as bad as my other sneakers or Sketchers that I have. I did have to remove the inserts and get the Gel Dr Scholls which helps with comfort.

Purchased these for my 91 year old mother. These fit great and give her the support she needs. She loves them and says they are very comfortable. For us easily adjustable with the velcro. They replaced a pair of (more expensive and now unavailable) hush puppies that the velcro had worn out on.

My 90 year old mother has been wearing NB 928s through three generation. The support and the space the wide width provides were good for arthritic feet. I was looking for a new pair, but it looks like the 928s have been discontinued. I saw a suggestion to get the 813s as a replacement, and fortunately they have a Velcro close version, since she can no longer easily tie her shoes.So, did she like them?She loved them from the first try. Support is excellent. The extra room in the toe box means her twisted feet fit comfortably. She can put them on and take them off herself. Best of all, she found them completely comfortable for everyday wear.

I bought these for my sis. These are best suited for those wanting stability in walking and the ease of taking them off easily.
