Look, this is the best air cooler you can get in terms of value and performance. This thing is a beast (make sure you size it with your case, because it's also huge). The fans are standard, meaning the only real component in this that dies can easily be replaced, and unlike liquid coolers, this can basically last forever and has no real risk of component damage. It's not exactly pretty--it's a giant looking fan thing--but it works tremendously well. That being said, the instructions suck. Really badly. They basically gave up on them and said "you figure it out." I recommend watching some guides on YouTube for self-install, save yourself the hassle of trying to depict the hieroglyphics in the instruction manual. Also, be careful on motherboard clearance. This thing hangs out pretty far. Some motherboards will have things too big for it.But seriously, this is an investment with the amazing bonus of being a cheap one. Can't recommend enough.

I recently upgraded my PC's cooling system with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! From the moment I unboxed this cooler, I knew I was in for a treat. Here are the reasons why this cooler deserves a five-star rating:Outstanding Cooling Technology: Equipped with 6 heat pipes and Advanced Groove Heat Pipe (AGHP) Technology, this cooler dispatches heat incredibly efficiently. My CPU temperatures dropped significantly even under heavy load, ensuring my system runs at optimal performance.Dual Fan Design: The dual 120mm PWM fans included with this cooler are a huge plus. They operate at a speed of up to 1550RPM, which provides ample airflow to keep my CPU cool. Not to mention, they do their job quietly, which is a godsend for anyone who values a silent workspace.Compatibility: I have an AMD setup and was pleased to find that this cooler supports a wide range of sockets, including AM4 and the new AM5. It's also compatible with several Intel LGA sockets like 1700, 1150, 1151, and 1200, which makes it a versatile solution for many builds.Easy Installation: The installation process was straightforward and hassle-free. It's evident that Thermalright designed this cooler with the user in mind. I appreciated that all necessary mounting hardware was provided, making it easy to secure the cooler to my motherboard.Aesthetic Appeal: Not only does this cooler perform well, but it also looks sleek inside my PC case. The build quality is top-notch, and it adds a professional touch to my setup. In conclusion, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler is an exceptional product that offers superior cooling, versatility, and quiet operation. Whether you're an avid gamer, a content creator, or anyone who demands high efficiency from their PC, this cooler won't disappoint. I can confidently say that this is one of the best investments for your PC's longevity and stability.

Have had water coolers on my main PC for the past three years, My second water system just stopped working so I decided to try air only. Install was much easier than another water unit and all parts were present. After 48 hours I've repeatedly run Cinebench for 10 minutes at a time with 100% CPU utilization on all cores, and played Dying Light 2 for two hours straight on three occasions. At this point I think it has been stress tested pretty well. Resting CPU temp with <1% load on the CPU is about 40 to 45 Deg. C. Temp with Cinebench running all cores at 100% load x 10 minutes showed 65 to 70 Deg C. Dying Light for 2 hours with a hot 3080 GPU peaked at 90 Deg C. These temps came back to the 50 Deg C range within a minute of closing the either game or Cinebench each time. All in all this seems to be an easy to install Air Cooler that is also whisper quiet and cools my Intel 11700KF CPU well. At $35 for this cooler versus $150 for another water unit, I am more than satisfied that this was the best option. Came with all I needed in the box, including thermal paste and instructions.

This cooler is part of a new build using an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D/ASRock X670E Steel Legend motherboard. After using AIO liquid cooling on all my computer builds for years, I thought about making a switch to air cooling based on many recent articles the two cooling types. Thought I'd give this a try and compare for myself, considering the price difference. Install was pretty simple and the included fans seem to perform well enough to get the most out of what this air cooler can provide. After bootup and running the system through its paces, thermals are comparable to my AIO (3 fan). Very quiet during gameplay. My dislikes:Included instruction sheet was pretty minimal and the illustrations really didn't help explain how the clips attached the fans to the cooler. A few minutes on YT videos cured all issues with install. The other downside to this cooler (for me) is that the heat-pipes rise is just short enough when installed on my motherboard that the one fan is sitting on top of my G.Skill RAM (Trident RGB area) after installing according to the instructions and viewing some videos. For me, this happened when installing the fans in the "push" configuration from the videos. If the heat pipes were 1/8th of an inch taller, it wouldn't have been an issue. I may look into changing the fans to a "pull" config (where they are pulling air through) and changing their location on the cooler. However, I'm in no hurry right now as there's no functional problems, just my OCD kicking in a little. Was there any thought given about taller RAM sticks of performance RAM during design? No idea and nothing noted online. Just my experience with this item.Works great and the cost is reasonable, considering how expensive it is right now to tackle a new computer build.Would recommend.
