This light is very bright and luminescent. It fully brightens my entire great room which includes the kitchen, living room, and dining room. It does get warm but I don’t believe it to be dangerously warm.

This is for the 5000 lumen 3000K bulb, which is the option with the lowest rating.It is bright, like if you own a bar and want a light to turn on at the end of the night to let everyone know it's time to leave kind of bright. If that's what you want, it's great. It's not cheap, but if you still miss incandescent bulbs, get this. I don't recommend using it in any application where you can see the actual bulb since your eyes will probably have a hard time adjusting.I like 2700K, and the lowest available is 3000K, but it's still warm enough, despite being so bright. I bought two for upward aiming floor lamps in a 10x20 room that always felt dark. Using both bulbs was over kill. So I switched one back to the original 1600 lumen bulb.
