I gifted these and recipients were surprised and excited. The scabbards seem high quality and flawless.FYI, shipping was via USPS, The product was crammed/forced into the mailbox which tore a huge section of the packaging. I expected to find missing product or damaged goods but luckily all was intact.

Love this knife! The handle feels comfortable and the circle at the end of the handle gives you additional control for chopping. I sharpened the knife upon receiving it and I have used it daily with no dulling. I am always looking for good knives and this one is one of my favorites!

When I received my knife, I tried slicing a tomato and it did not cut as the advertisement. The point was sharp if you want to stab something. As far as cutting a piece of paper, forget it.

This is a good knife for cutting most things but excels in cutting up chicken. I was a meat cutter back in the 1970's and using an old fashion butcher cleaver, I could cut up 60 lbs of chicken in around 5-6 minutes. The old cleavers are hard to find now but this knife has a strong tang and back which is suited for cutting thru bones and joints. Also works well for chopping vegetables for soup. Made in Japan and easy to sharpen. If you work in the kitchen, this is a great knife.

I was a bit skeptical about a knife at this price. I fully expected to be disappointed with this purchase. However, this was not the case. This is an excellent knife that has become my go to knife from everything from opening Amazon Boxes to slicing up dinner. It comes very sharp out of the box and only required a bit of touch up on he stone. It has a great hand feel, very robust and excellent grip feel. I was totally impressed. This is a heavy knife, I like that. I feel this gives better control and feel to any knife. I collect knives I have over 300 from the past 40 years and this knife has now seen more use in the past 2 months than many of the knives I've owned for many years and costing far more. If you are looking for a quality heavy duty utility knife to keep handy this one will do he job well. Also, the leather sheath that comes with it is plain simple and so far very sturdy. I love this product and highly recommend it.
