These shears fit my hand perfectly. They are durable enough to cut the heavy composite cable that we use for access control. But they stay sharp for cutting individual strands when needed. The handles are comfortable for using all day.

Our first pair lasted over a year and we liked them so much that we bought a replacement when the first ones failed (internal mechanism apparently broke). We use them daily to cut bailing twine, open shavings bags, remove proof of purchase labels. Sturdy, good weight, fits her small hand and his large hand equally well.

I've had these sort of shears before, but from different manufacturers. This product is very sturdy, and cuts extremely well. The spring action is so-so, a little weak and sometimes sticks as it springs open, maybe a little more grease would help I guess. It needs a stronger spring. The big issue I have is the latch that holds it shut. This is the latch from hell and who ever designed this thing must have had long fingernails because you need them to open and close it. The latch is very hard to actuate, and doesn't hold well unless you push it hard. Ones I previously had, were much more cleverly designed and all you had to do to release the latch was to close them more and the latch would snap open. If this company redesigned the latch to be easier to open and close and have a more positive "Click" when it has engaged, then I would give these 5 stars.

These utility shears are awesome. I happen to own both handle styles. I think I like the feel of these the best but the ones with the finger grooves have never been a disappointment, either. I carry a pair in my tool bag and have used ( ok... abused) them extensively. I have used them to cut everything from small rope / cordage, zip ties, plastics, tape, paper, cardboard, shop rags, soft wire, Emory cloth, scotchbrite pads, rubber, nylon straps, poly banding straps and even light shim stock. (stainless and brass). I’ve opened paint cans with them by prying up the pressed in lip seal... I’m not an advocate of abusing tools or using them improperly but in all honesty I’ve done it in a pinch. My first one is still in very good condition and has a permanent spot in my tool bag. They are stout, perfect sized, ergonomic and resilient. I was so impressed by the 1st pair that I bought a second pair to kit in my “Get home” emergency preparedness bag. These have the straight handle like those pictured.I’ve read other reviewers stating that they have pinched their hands when using these shears. I can certainly see how that is possible. I have never had any issues with pinching and cannot remember ever having pinched myself while using them. I’m left handed but perform many functions right- handed simply because specialty shears are not readily available specifically for left-handed people. These work well with either hand, although I prefer using my right.I also want to say that I have the full size scissors variant. They are every bit as good but I don’t find them quite as handy and convenient.Only wish I have is that a fitted sheath made of quality nylon or leather were available, but that is minor and not really necessary. They do carry well regardless.
