I carry a few specialized dongles around for my work in IT, and when you need full USB C speed it makes sense to have separate adapters for those purposes. But when you're on the go, you might not have a separate adapter for everything, and it's nice to know you're prepared for every eventuality. The Orico 10-in-1 USB C adapter bills itself as a laptop docking station, and I'm hard pressed to find anything missing for normal use. When I'm at my desk I prefer to have two monitors, but when I'm on the go having a single HDMI port -- it supports 4K at 60Hz -- is fine.It also has* 3 USB 3.2 ports (10 GHz)* A USB 2.0 port* USB-C port for power delivery up to 100W* Gigabit ethernet port* SD/TF card reader* Aux connector audio portIt's in a very rugged aluminum enclosure, and will stand up to being dragged around in your laptop bag. This eliminates the need to bring separate adapters for everything, with one caveat. It uses one single USB C port on your computer, which means the aggregate bandwidth for everything combined is limited to 10 G. This won't be a problem most of the time because a single HDMI port and 1Gb ethernet port only use a fraction of that, leaving plenty of bandwidth for other devices. As long as all your USB devices aren't active at the same time you won't notice any speed problems. If you're going to travel light and just carry one adapter with you, this is the one to have!

Update - 10/16/23Happy to report that Orico promptly responded and replaced the defective unit. The new unit works well. Hooray for excellent customer service.Update - 3 months later:With regular usage the hub has died. I'm dropping my review to 3 stars and hoping to hear from the seller for a replacement.ORICO is definitely one of my favorite chinese tech brands -- heavy on specs and quality for gentle prices -- and this hub is no exception. i'm happy to report that the 100W PD USB-C input works well with my 100W USB-C power input for a facile expansion of ports to an otherwise sexy but nonetheless annoyingly portless laptop that requires some approximation of a hub if you need the extra features, aka SD card readers, extra USB ports, and so on. other than immediately asking to recognize the new hub and a couple minutes to have the MBP chew on the idea of using it, charging then proceeded smoothly and speedily as promised. and at this point, 4k60 is a pretty good output for my intended video editing with my 4k external monitor. hooray for the handy things! there's also a central power light that turns on when it's connected. more of a design consideration than anything else but otherwise still nice. 5 stars for excelling at all it promises and then some.

It might be because of my work firewall protocols in the security settings, however, this multimedia adapter did not allow me to connect to multiple devices that I was hoping for.
