As others have mentioned, the holder is advertised as having an edge that points up, which of course you’d then buy this item if that’s the design you wanted. In fact the box it arrives in also shows the edge as pointing up (so it’s not an Amazon picking fault), yet inside the actual holder’s edge points down on the one I received, which is also how it shows on the included instructions. As you can buy the holder with either an up or down edge, I presume there must be one or more batches where they’ve been packed incorrectly at the manufacturer. For me it’s still a great looking and perfectly functional toilet roll holder and you can also lay you mobile phone on the shelf; if installed using a spirit level and your phone has a case (so it’s grips), it shouldn’t fall off. So I’m keeping mine. Clearly it should be packed correctly at the manufacturer, but if you want the edge pointing up, I can totally understand why you may send this back.
