I really enjoy this product! It feels durable to the touch and does not leak. I don’t like water bladders and hose systems. I used to fill up the bladder of other products and use it as a water container since I’d rather have a small water bottle in hand. When I put it in my backpack I am not concerned that it will break and wet all my equipment.I currently have the 2L version and highly recommend it.

I’ve used several filtering devices in the past and I was very excited to try this one. Unfortunately, the taste of the water from sitting in the bag for only a couple of minutes is so unbearable, I couldn’t even use it. I tried rinsing it out with soap and water, baking soda, even put a couple drops of bleach in it and sat overnight, and it still had a very plasticy taste that was undrinkable. Thank God I wasn’t on a hiking trip where I needed the water because I don’t know if I could’ve drank it. I never leave reviews but I’m hoping the company changes the material they use.

So I got this to be an actual water bottle I intended to use for hiking. It is not great for hiking.PROs - extremely light, great to pour into a drinking or cooking container. Once it was rinsed and aired out there was no “off gassing” type smells or tastes. Easy to measure water content. Felt very damage-resistant despite being very very light!CONs - you can’t gracefully or easily drink from the opening. It’s really meant for pouring. It is very challenging to hold / carry for long hikes because the lid loop bends a bunch when it’s hooked into anything. The handle is ok but also not great for long hikes. Because it’s so light supporting it upside down (for pouring or drinking) is like handling a live fish. It’s squirmy!Bottom line - really great quality and utility - not great for drinking from on long hikes.

These are half the price of brands like sea to summit and your really not sacrificing anything.Great way to bring extra water with you , backpacking. When it's empty you can just stuff it in your bag.Recommend putting some lemon juice in it first. It does have a slight runner taste at first.
