Pretty awesome for the price. Very nice quality and good concept, adapting a cheaper saw for more precise lightweight use. One annoying flaw: The part that connects the arm to the table catches the material that you're cutting, if the piece is longer than 8-9 inches. So you have to reach around and push it against the fence so that the material can clear the blade completely. Not a deal killer but pretty annoying. If you can't visualize what I'm trying to describe, here's a little walk through: You put up the fence to the right of the blade so you can push a piece of thing wood against the fence for a straight cut. The first 8 inches of the material will cut fine, but it will bump into the aluminum arm (the piece that connects the blade shield to the table). This is because the cut isn't always perfectly straight because the blade has a little bit of wiggle room (right or left). So the solution is to reach behind the blade and push the material to the right, against the fence, otherwise you can't push the material any farther through. The result is that you get a little dip in the cut that isn't perfectly straight, like a little dimple in the cut. But whatever, it's under a hundred bucks, right?

I bought this on a whim, I'm installing a Vinyl Plank flooring in my basement and had originally tried cutting my cuts with a circular saw, Big mistake as it throws plastic sawdust everywhere, next came using a Jig Saw which worked, but worked super slow and required three hands to hold the plank, hold the saw and hold the table while making minute cuts without screwing up the whole piece.Enter the Blade Runner, I was in a Big Box store buying scroll saw blades,( Yes, another vain attempt at cutting my planks, Blades last about 30 seconds before snapping and the saw itself bounces across the floor) When I noticed the Blade Runner on the shelf next to me, I remembered seeing them advertised a few years ago and meant to buy one then, but forgot about it. However, It seemed perfect for what I needed, Basically just a Upside Down Jigsaw on a Table. Amazon was $40 cheaper, So I ordered and literally had it the next day, and I live out in the sticks. This Saw is fantastic, it's like it was designed for the sole purpose of putting in a vinyl floor. However, I took away (1) Star for Rockwell quality control, The Guard is held on by (2) Bolts that uses a tool-less screw knob with a nut inside, (1) nut was missing and required me going to the store and buying some (M6x1.00 Metric in case your're wondering) a minor inconvenience since most my cuts are made without the blade guard in place.Feature-wise most have covered it, But it comes with the tabletop saw, (5) blades for various projects from cutting Metal, Ceramic, Wood and yes, Vinyl Planks, It comes with a Rip fence, and a Miter gauge. I see many, many uses for this saw down the road. Blade changes are made in 2 seconds and everything is designed to NOT have to use tools to make it work. I kick myself for not buying one sooner. In closing, I'll just say I never installed a Plank Floor before, So there is a certain learning curve and I know for a fact, had I had this saw from the start, it would've made the entire job flow a lot smoother.I read most of the (1) Star reviews and even one where the guy said it was the worst thing ever for Vinyl Flooring, I'm not sure what He was expecting, Maybe push a button and the stuff cut itself? But this thing works fantastic for Vinyl flooring and even though it's just an upside down jigsaw with a table, It actually cuts faster than using a handheld jigsaw, But it's important to remember, It's a Jigsaw, So it's NOT going to be setting any speed cutting records, Reading between the lines in the (1) star comments, I gathered most people were disappointed at the speed and not at the saw itself. However, part of the beauty of a Jigsaw is it goes slow enough to allow for very precise cuts without destroying your work piece because of one cut that went too far or maybe the difference of looking like a 5 year old installed your floor or a Professional did it.You Decide.

I absolutely love this tool! I started wood working as a hobby. I wanted a tool that was not heavy and easy to lift and carry. I also wanted a tool that was not scary to use. The Blade Runner met all of these requirements. I started making raised garden beds and and raised planter boxes out of recycled wood. I also purchased the Cross Cut Sled. This is actually a great accessory for cutting wood pieces. I have also cut thick card board, plastic pipe, and thin metal pipes with this wonderful tool. Tip: I clean the underside and topside of my Bladerunner with my regular house vacuum cleaner hose.

I have had this saw for 2 years now. It's what you expect, even though it is poorly named. This is a table top with a saw blade in it. But it is not a table saw. If you have ever used a table scroll saw this is the closest thing to it. Takes standard 'jig/skill' saw blades which is nice. If it goes dull or break it is a super quick change out. Which is nice if you are going from 1 material to another. Do not try to cut anything over 1 inch (even soft woods) with it. It just doesn't have the power and the weight and the machine will jump and move around on you. I have used the cross cutting miter piece a few times. Took off the rest of the attachments when I cut now because they were useless and just made cuts more difficult. I essentially free hand cut everything when I use it. If I have to have a long straight cut, I break out an actual table saw. But for short cuts, detail cuts and thin materials this works great! I have mainly used it cutting vinyl flooring that I have done throughout the house and cuts that really easily. But other than that, have cut aluminum, copper, PVC, plastics. As I said before, do not buy this thinking it will work like a real table saw, it won't. It is just not robust enough. It is great from some projects and handyman work here and there though and it's portable nature is great.

This machine cuts great with out ruining the back side of what you are cutting and we decided to purchase 4 packs of other size blades! Thank you.

This is a fantastic, portable multi-purpose saw table. While it's obviously not a real table saw with a circular blade and doesn't have the advantages and total accuracy of a true table saw, it is far safer and infinitely more portable.Despite some complaints from other users, I have found it quite easy to make straight, accurate cuts. The fence and mitre both work well when properly set and used. I wrapped my mitre slide with a little bit of masking tape to reduce slop, and find it best to clamp the workpiece to the mitre to further reduce chatter and slop. When utilizing proper technique and quality blades--I recommend Festool brand--tear-out is non-existent and I get highly accurate cuts.I was able to reduce a 5/8"x5.5"x6' cedar fence board into a birdhouse in about 5 minutes of total cut time--made a great gift for my mother! I haven't given it much of a run as a scroll/jig saw, but I did a couple of free-hand curved cuts just for kicks and was able to get pretty decent results. I have also experimented with cutting a nominal pine 2"x4" (actual about 1.5"x3.5") and had no problems making the cut with a little patience. I haven't had the opportunity nor the need to try cutting metal, tile, or laminate but with quality blades I'm sure those would cut just fine.Tighten everything down (clamp to bench or other surface, tighten arm and blade guard fully) and let the saw do the work (don't rush it or push too hard) and you should find this a very versatile and functional tool.I would further suggest "whiting-out" (or "whatever-other-coloring-out") the tabletop ruler and guidelines by spreading some acrylic paint over the plastic surface tabletop with a sponge brush or paper towel (remove the red plastic insert near the blade first to avoid any chance of affecting the color of that piece of plastic) and wiping away the excess paint with a damp cloth or paper towel. The resulting effect will be clearly demarcated lines and increments that may help you achieve more accurate cuts. I did the same with the miter gauge, and it made it much easier to make accurate cuts without straining to see the markings.

Super useful. I think it may be the most used tool in my shop for fabricating with polycarbonate sheet. Main recomendation would be a 1000 lumen LED inside the blade protector aiming down on the point where the work piece meets the blade. I find my self wearing a 5000 lumen LED head lamp to see the cut lines buried down inside the guide which seems silly. Some of the parts are cheaply made but it works as promised. Would be more useful if it had a tilt for the blade or work surface available. The way the guard is mounted can make some cuts difficult especially ripping long thin strips where I had to make custom jigs. They should have mounted the support post so it comes out the back of the device with the option to buy a guide with a deeper throat so you can work with larger work pieces. As made it will be more challenging to make a custom jig to allow this. It would also be good to have a way to route vacuum to both the under side and upper side of device. It is relatively difficult get the guides aligned perfectly square and the marketing are difficult to see in anything but perfect light so you have to manually square the guide every time used. This is true for many saws but this saws guide is worse than most. To be fair it isn't any harder to square up than our CNC mill.

Ok. Update to review below. I went to cut a 2x4 and found the saw far more difficult to use than a simple jigsaw....the table saw vibrated almost uncontrollably. I got frustrated and returned it to Amazon. However, that was a mistake....I SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT. The next time I went to cut soft 1/2" pine board, I wished I had this saw back. I will end up re-buying it. (Sorry Amazon...I should have kept it.). So, I reiterate what I said below...great for small crafts or thin cuts ONLY.Ignore the negative reviews if you want this for crafts and small DYI projects such as cutting new flooring for a small room. It is basically an inverted jig saw with a table and very good dust control if you attach a shop vac. It makes great cross cuts but as others noted it vibrates a lot when ripping even smaller pieces. Nevertheless it is highly useful and better than a a jigsaw for many small projects. The negative reviews come from those who thought they were buying a full size table circular saw in a small package. The manufacturer shows a guy carrying to a job site. Forget that nonsense. It will not meet you expectations if that is your hope. Yes. It will cut 2 x 4 and rip plywood sheets but I can assure you that you will not like it for that purpose. A $45 circular saw will be much better.
