Purchased this unit as I was looking for one for years. Kept looking on line for a used one but they all seemed old and worn out. This King brand from Canada (likely China or Taiwan made) is surprisingly really well made. Steel is thick and the fit and finish is great. The features like the lamp, laser guide, cast aluminum table and rip fence are all included! The drop down blade guide is sturdy and precise. The manual is excellent, well written and has a parts list. I suspect King Canada can get the parts if you ever need them. This is literally twice the machine offered from the usual places like Mastercraft and Skill. My only complaint is the cheap plastic angle cutting fence.

I purchased this saw to do some very basic resawing of small pieces of hardwood - 1 inch to 2 inches thick. It is so under powered that it cannot even cut a 3/4 inch piece of pine without stalling. Completely useless.

This machine is s piece of junk. Read and followed all the directions and it worked once. Second use , blade came off and couldn’t get it on again. Some instructions not the best for alignment procedures. I would shy far away from this one. Disappointing because I have a few other King Canada tools and they seem pretty good.

Simple bandsaw, so far working fine. It’s important to read the instructions and adjust and tension the blade before use. I suspect other negative reviews about the blade falling off etc were the result of it arriving untensioned out of the box. If you run it before tensioning that can happen, of course. There is a simple knob on the top to tighten the blade, and you may also want to check the guide. The laser mount is a little flimsy and attached to the upper door which can move relative to the blade. Not super ideal, but ok as long as you don’t press on the door while cutting. Overall very reasonable for the price.
