I found the digital microscope model EDM9PRO not difficult to assemble. The only problem was it requires a 5V/1A or2A charger required but unfortunately not included so back to AMAZON and had to order one. I recommend if you order the microscope and you don't have an extra charger laying around order it along with your purchase and save yourself time. The item works great for the money It's a must have.

I do not think it is my imagination. Things keep getting smaller, including any printing on the item. This is a great magnifier. If you want to call it a microscope, you can. Read the review by, "Here in Eugene, Oregon" to understand the limitations of the device. I really do not believe you can see bacteria with this, because it does not magnify to 1200X. Advertised as a "Coin", and a "Soldering", microscope; that is truthful and it works great for those types of jobs. For children, it opens up a whole new world of sub-miniature features on plants, insects, minerals, photos, fabrics, etc. It may even teach the importance of washing your hands, by looking at them under magnification. I bought this model because the mounting is critical, and this model uses real metal for the base and stand. I paid a premium to get the wireless remote, but I use it seldom, so maybe the wired remote model is a better value, since it is significantly cheaper. There is no true zoom function. If you want more magnification, you lower the camera closer to what you are viewing, and then refocus. Mine came with two built in batteries. One for the base goose-neck lights, and one for the camera and screen. They are charged separately using two different cords (supplied) by connecting them to two 1-2 amp USB chargers (not supplied). The IPS display is clear, and bright enough for indoor use. The Camera does have a surprising amount of noise. Why, I can not understand, but it is more of an issue for saved images, than it is for real-time viewing. Depth of field varies with magnification, and is adequate a lower to moderate levels. I set it to the lowest magnification, by raising it to the top of the column. The field of view was 2.55 inches wide by 1.45 inches high. That is 2.3 times magnification at the low end. Fine for reading small print if it fits on the stage. Maximum optical magnification is around 30 X. That is a lot different than 1200 X which is advertised. Putting the image on a larger video screen makes the "size" magnification larger, but does not increase the detail. Light intensity adjustment is interesting, because the camera also sets the light intensity automatically. The result is, the light adjustment is more like a contrast adjustment. More contrast as you increase the intensity. The camera lights are even enough for routine work, but exhibit some variation in color and intensity across the field of view. The goose-neck lights on the base are not even illumination. They vary from edge to center, and the center is noticeably "yellow" in shade. I mostly just use normal room lighting, and save the battery by not turning on the lights. Room lighting is usually bright enough, if you can read by it.

This has a good screen and plenty of light for working on circuit boards the only issue i have with it is the i wish the camera mount had alittle more distance from the screen . Certain boards are to big to fit in the mounting area but in truth they probably sell a alternative mount for it . In all i like it and so far it works great.

This is a great value. Easy assembly. Is relative in quality, specifically there are a few parts that are kinda cheap in feel/mass. It works as described and I am happy with it relative to what I paid for it. The clarity is great, the connections and easy of use to a computer requires no installs or downloads. Very straightforward.
