You get a filter that fits well inside a #2 filter, which can be used atop a large coffee mug. Beats having to cut down Chemex filters to size.

I adore it! It is delightfully simple to use and makes delicious coffee. I did discover that if I return the first fill up of the filter to it, before I pour in a second helping of hot water, it makes absolutely wonderful coffee! Otherwise, the first run through of water is a tad weak. I require a mug of coffee in the morning so I generally refill the filter 4x's.

they are somehow denser - make a better cup of coffee. other filters just have the water pour through, while these seem to slow the process somehow to intensify the flavor of the coffee. we're sold on this brand, and donated all regular coffee makers.
