These do not fit the Bamboo lids. They are not thick enough. So they pull out with the straw. Not secure.

Would be good if there was away to get it a little bit bigger

These work as you would expect. They require a 14 mm hole and *just* fit in a 3 mm panel. Anything thicker would be a problem, I think. I can't say how they'd fit in a thinner surface. Once installed, they work perfectly with an 8 mm o.d. hard-plastic straw.I used these in a toy I made for a 2-year-old boy and they have survived all the rough handling such a consumer dishes out, including stresses I had not anticipated.
