$70 for 2 Tb of storage is great, speed okay. The included cable has specific HDD connector on one end, and wide (old USB) on the other. To connect to iPad, an USB-C dongle/ port/ hub/ adapter with connection for external power is required. I own a VAVA USB-C hub, which cost around $40. The Hub plugs into the iPad via USB-C; the external power connects to hub via USB-C; the external HDD connects to hub via USB-A, and also draws power. The second “trick” is to format the HDD using the “erase” feature in IOS 18. Choosing the preferred apple format “APFS”, changes from the default “FATS” which the iPad can read, but will be unable to write. After the Erase/ reformatting step; both read/write functions work without problem. The included instructions do not include the needed information about the need for a hub or reformatting.

Positives: Enormous capacity. Works straight away when you plug it in to Win 11 machine.Meh: Not super quiet. As power savings take effect, you can hear the drive spin up and literally spin down. The spin down is a bit unnerving as you can literally hear the platters inside this drive slowly stop spinning. Never had a drive that made this noise.Bad: No power switch. No drive read/write light. The eSata connection/cable is annoying and wish they would have used just a standard USB C able. This is not a fast drive.Remains to be seen: Reliability.

I was expecting, you know, a regular size external hard drive. But this one is about the size of two thumb drives side-by-side! It's so tiny and cute!On a serious note, it runs as expected. I was hoping to put decals on it as part of the gift but it was two small. I even measured with a Seagate drive we have. But I was slightly disappointed that it was so tiny. I was only able to fit two decals. One on each side. Honestly the size is probably better anyway. Takes up less space while in-use, and it makes it easier to store. I wish there was an option to have the full size, but I can overlook that.

it was hard to beat this 2TB hard drive for the price. it’s efficient, sleek, and relatively small, so it’s easy to use and store. it did take a couple of hours to fully back everything up, but that was expected with nearly 1TB worth of videos, pictures, etc. when loading videos, sometimes they do take a bit longer to buffer, but the videos aren’t damaged, so it’s worth the wait.

Does anyone knows how to fix it ? Its only work on my macbook but not my hp laptop

It’s a small external that holds a lot of space 5tb easy to travel with if you have to and easy to set up and I love how easy it is to move storage to the 5tb. Such a good price for 5tb too.

For the price, I’m beyond satisfied with this HDD. It has that hot cheap plastic smell when in use but after over 2 years (iirc!) of use, it’s still running strong and I still have plenty of storage space left to use. Set up is easy, it works just fine and I don’t notice any considerable increase in loading times on my games (using this for Xbox One). It’s fairly compact and lightweight with only two cords. Design is as nice as can be expected for an external HDD. I’d buy and use one of these again without hesitation.

I didn't knew that Mac uses a completly different type of drive type or whatever it is, so when I uploaded my files from Windows to the drive and tried to use the drive on my Mac, I was shook to find the drive didn't work on Mac (until I did a few things). I was only able to read the files but to to drag and drop or edit or move or create, nothing, I was scared that I bought a drive that only worked with Windows, but on the start guide they mention Mac, so I was confused, was I doing something wrong? Maybe is broken from factory? After talking to a customer support specialist here at Amazon, they let me know that I needed a driver in order to make those options work and it worked after I installed Paragon. Glad the customer associate was able to guide me through it BUT THAT INFORMATION SHOULD BE ON THE QUICK START GUIDE.

bought one to hold my music library as a backup. The transfer speed is great, didn’t spend too much on it and it’s good quality with a compact design. I recommend this for portability and for great amount of storage if needed
