I'd like to point out that I am not a new user to Reverse Osmosis filtration. I have extensive experience in this arena. I purchased this unit only because the housings on my 15 year old drinking system was starting to show its age. Overall, the housings, and packaging seem to be of good quality. Fittings are nice and everything is leak free. The trouble I had with this system was the extended flush time required with the RO Membrane. RO Membranes (what actually produces the clean water and the heart of the system) come vacuum sealed from the manufacturer with an anti-microbial agent that preserves the shelf life of the filter. For a typical membrane this takes about 3 gallons to flush it out. Without adequate flushing, the water will smell and taste like sulfur. The one supplied with this system took 24 hours (50 gallons) to flush out the smell. I contacted the seller about the issue who responded that it's not possible for it to produce this smell and that it must be my source water. I replied with a water quality report as well as the technical explanation for why this was happening to which I got no response or resolution. If you are not aware of this and set the system up to run through the taste filter, you are likely to not notice the foul water. That said, it is not harmful, though you should flush your first tank full of water to remove as much chemical as possible. I ended up replacing the membrane with a Filmtec 50GPD unit, which has produced better water. In the end, I still think the cost of the unit and the quality of the housings make for a good buy, just be weary of the membrane flush time.

The prefilters on my reverse osmosis system started leaking and after replacing the o-rings it still leaked. I was going to buy a new system when I came across this unit. It came with filters and easy directions. No more leaks.

This is a very good deal it you are looking to give a total refresh to your RO filtration system.Everything is already assembled, and so for a fair price you are getting all new filters with transparent housing, etc.One important plus is that these new filter housings now have double o-rings, this really helps, and drastically reduce any chances of having water leaks.
