If you have a Mini 6, the only reason you might consider upgrading is if you really want Apple Intelligence and don't already have other Apple devices that are capable of Apple Intelligence features. If you upgrade, know that the Apple Pencil 2 that you bought to use with your 6 will not work with the 7. You will have to buy a new Apple Pencil Pro.The 7 has the same display, front & rear cameras, speakers, and form factor as the 6. As a 6 owner, I'm disappointed. It's been 3 years since the 6 came out, I was hoping for more meaningful upgrades besides just the chip. The chip upgrade allows the Mini 7 to run Apple Intelligence. If you don't need this feature, or if you have another Apple device that can run Apple Intelligence, buy the 6 and save some money.I love the smaller form factor of the Mini (6 or 7). It's a great iPad in a go-anywhere size. With a cover on, it's no heavier than a typical book, and a bit thinner. It's great for gaming, watching movies, social media, making lists & checking things off your lists, email, and just about everything you can do with a larger iPad. If you get the version with cellular, it is a super useful travel partner - especially if you don't have a large-screen smartphone (like an iPhone Plus or a Pro Max).If you have or buy an Apple Pencil, the Mini is a fantastic device for taking notes. It runs all the greatest note-taking apps, like Goodnotes, Notability, Evernote, Microsoft OneNote, etc.I love that the 6 and 7 both have a USB-C port. You can connect lots of different kinds of peripherals. Charging via USB-C is faster than charging via the previous Lightning port that was the Mini 5 and earlier. The Mini 6 and Mini 7 are essentially an iPad Air in a smaller package, except for one difference which might or might not be important for you. Plugged into an external display, the Air supports Stage Manager and multiple, resizable windows. The Mini 7's processor is powerful enough to support this feature, but Apple has not made it available on the Mini 7. :( They might in the future.Personally, I have spent a fair amount of time playing with Stage Manager and external monitor support with my M4 iPad Pro. I think it looks really cool, at first. But it's a lot more awkward to use than a Macbook for the kinds of tasks I do. I don't think most people who buy a Mini 6 or 7 will miss the Stage Manager functionality. If you do need it, consider an iPad Air, even the previous model with the M1 processor can do Stage Manager really well.

Upgraded from the iPad mini 6, which my girlfriend is currently using, there are some minor modifications. A faster chip and a pencil connection on the side are the notable changes. I prefer incremental improvements over a complete overhaul. The size of the mini is ideal for everything, particularly reading, and it evokes the feel of a paperback book. Amazon delivered this iPad the following day, which was a pleasant experience. AppleCare can be purchased at the time of order or after delivery. I would highly recommend Amazon for purchasing Apple products.

I love the iPad mini, it's like an enlarged iPhone but with a whole new experience! I read news, watch YouTube and reply emails on it, absolutely a gorgeous product! A must buy for Apple fans!

Sleek and light weight design. Great for trips business or pleasure. Don’t let the tablets smaller size fool you the A17 processor is lightning fast and packs a punch.
