The breaker for my room blows all the time, so my computer shuts off suddenly. I'm in the habit af saving thing as I go, fortunately, but only because of how lousy the wiring is.This APU is outstanding. After I got it, I charged it for a few days and plugged all my equipment into it. We threw the breaker to test it and there wasn't even a blip on my screen. No indication the power went out other than my clock turned off.Highly recommend.

Good emergency PSU, but ...I paid $194.54 CAD then one week later the price dropped at something like $175, then now it is $318.25 tx.At the actual price, I wouldn't have bought it, much much too expensive compared to other well know units ( I have one), with 1000W including a display with more outputs.

I had to waited a long time for the delivery of this UPS but it was worth the wait. Happily, unlike some UPS devices, this one uses standard sized, replaceable, 12 Volt batteries. Lately, having power supply protection has been needed most often for minor glitches in the power and these glitches can really disrupt unprotected computers or network drives. Just waiting to see how well it works over the long haul.

It's your basic Ups unit, the value for the money seems to be good. I buy these for basic battery backup, nothing more, and I don't need anything fancy. Most power outages in my area last for a few minutes and I don't bother with shutting stuff down, I just keep going and that's has been fine, so far. I do recommend you buying the biggest UPS that your budget will allow. Because batteries degrade over time and a big UPS under a typical computer load may last up to 5 years, whereas if you get 1 that barely has the wattage that you need you may be replacing it in 2 to 3 years.

It seems like a solid unit. These are actually built by Cyberpower, which uses the Cyberpower Powerpanel program to connect to Windows. The courier Intelcom delivered this to the wrong house. Thankfully, amazon was able to send a 2nd one out and I didn't have to fight with them or anything! It can be set up to turn off your pc automatically after a power outage, after it turns your pc off it will also shutdown the UPS about a minute after. Once power comes back on the UPS will automatically turn back on and if you have your PC setup accordingly in the BIOS your PC will also turn on automatically. One thing about this unit is if the battery of the UPS goes to 0% it will not turn back on automatically. But you shouldn't be draining it to 0% anyway. However, on my UnRaid server, I could not get this functionality to work. I can get it to turn off the server but not shutdown the UPS; as a result, I would have to manually turn on the server. It recognizes the UPS; I tried built-in UPS functionality and NUTS for the server, but neither worked. It works perfect on Windows though. I get about 50 mins of runtime on my PC if idling or browsing the web.Id recommend this UPS as long as your not wanting it to shutdown and restart non-windows servers, for anything windows it works great.
