This is just a "dumb" battery with no communication to the computer/server.The price is good for a LiFePO4 battery backup and it seems solidly built. But only useful for a system that does not need an elegant shutdown when battery is low.Good for internet hardware and such, not good for a server.

I'm reading reviews with downgrades for the beeper being loud, the display being too bright, the fan cutting on, etc etc. All this is way overblown and easily fixable for the 5% ultra-sensitive among us. It has plenty of power, easily running my tv and computer that each spike up to 300W occasionally, plus a cable modem and router. The "power out" beep is not loud unless you put your ear close, and the display cuts off after a few seconds on grid power. On battery power, you NEED the beeper and the display! The fan has yet to cut on after a full week of usage, but I guess it could if you use it in a hot shed. My worst complaints are trivial too, which is there are no handles and the housing is slippery, and all sockets and controls are not on the same end.

Positives: The alarm can now be silenced... but see negatives The battery "supposedly" lasts 10 years... but see negatives All 8 ports are battery backed It stays cool and has a very quiet fan It uses a standard pc power cord (NEMA 5-15p to IEC 60320-C13) which means you can use whatever length cable you want to plug this thing into the wall. It comes with a cable as well.Negatives:-Alarm can only be silenced while it is going off. There is no way to silence it beforehand.-There is no way to replace the battery. So If it fails ¯\_(ツ)_/¯-There is absolutely no management software & no way to connect it to your PC (which means no way to automate shutdown using this UPS).

This is an amazing unit! It has everything I need except for a power fail USB signal port to automatically shut down computers. It is lightweight and compact. It has 8 power sockets on the back - all UPS protected which makes it easier to use than units with mixed types. When you connect it to the mains, it starts charging immediately. To switch the output AC on, push the front switch on for three seconds. To switch off, push for 5 seconds. This off-time is long enough that it doesn't get switched off by my roomba, as the power switch is at the bottom at the front. The unit contains an LFP or LiFEPO4 battery bank - good for three thousand full discharge cycles, so it could easily outlast its 5 year warranty - even if you have a fully draining power cut every day!Once the supply cuts out and its running on battery backup, the unit beeps every 5 seconds. While in backup, if you quickly push the front button, it stops beeping for the remainder of the current outage, but will start beeping again on the next outage. This is exactly the behavior I want. The beep is short and loud enough to hear in most rooms, but not annoying. The battery is nominally 25.6V and 9Ah at full charge, so around 220Wh total capacity. With AC output on, the unit consumes about 8-10 watts, so with no load, its run time is about:220 / (10 output_watts), so for example, it should last 22 hours with no load (output_watts=0), and about one hour with output_watts=210. After several years it should still work, just with slightly reduced capacity, so no sudden capacity reduction with age - unlike lead acid.

This UPS works well. After letting it charge to full I tested it by unplugging it several times with zero interruption to my computer, monitor etc. I then unplugged it and kept using my computer for 45 minutes and the unit showed half battery left. This was with an average power draw of 120 watts. The fan never came on so I can't speak to noise level. buzzer alert was not too loud or annoying when I unplugged it and was silenced by a touch of the power button. Overall when comparing it with my other UPS units by APC and Cyberpower I am very satisfied. The only shortcoming for me is that it would be nice to have a computer interface for monitoring and testing.
