I got this to add to a water filter system but it's not working out so well. The threading doesn't work with a Sawyer Mini (haven't checked other filters because I don't have them) and it does not have a wide opening so it takes a bit of time to fill it up at a creek or lake. It is very light and they say it is very durable, I haven't had it long enough to test its durability.

I don't know about y'all, but I get tired of having to get up and put my shoes on, maybe some kind of rain gear, and go to battle against the rain, the cold, an army of granddaddy longlegs, Bigfoot and God knows what else just go take a leak in the woods in the middle of the night. For that's it good. Has nice wide hole to shoot for and a little ring to hang it on the outside of your pack when you don't need it.Regarding other people's complaints, no, it won't fit a filter. It's for carrying water, not filtering it. Yes, the material is thin. Thin = lightweight and compact. Don't try to use it for a stake hammer and it'll be fine. It ain't that thin, though. It feels thicker than my 3 liter Hydrapak Seeker.If you just want something to put water in this will do it as good as anything else.

I use this for overnight excursions on my motorcycle. The bladder is well built and has well placed handles. It comes with 2 caps, the first is a regular sealing cap, the second takes a quick attach hose for drinking or pouring water, similar to a hydration bag. This doesn't include the hose or adaptor, but a hose off of one of my hydration bags snapped right on. Of course, if you want to use this feature, there's an added cost.It does not have any sort of protective cover, so you need to make sure nothing punctures it, or supply some sort of protection, like a heavy duty nylon bag.Overall this is a good bag and very functional. The price point is good also.
