I've had and used a few laser measures, and this is by far the VERY best. Nothing can compete with the incredibly rich feature set, all while this feels more rugged and well built than other models. The flexibility in resolution, measuring placement (front / tripod / back), and leveling are some of the features that really set this apart from the competition. And the ability to indirectly measure the height of a distant object is incredibly valuable!The MeasureOn app is fair, but is updated somewhat regularly. However, even if this couldn't connect to an app, I would still easily recommend this!

The only complaint is the location of the buttons make it tricky to use in some orientations. Very accurate. The indirect mode works well, but a little hard to use. The case is useless. Comes with the lithium battery.

The tool is really easy to use, has haptic feedback which turns out to be a game changer, and the built-in level is handy when floors feel sloped and you want to take that measurement as well. The included Lithium ion battery is not reliable and you will need to use AA batteries or carry them as backups. The Li-ion battery has a warning that you can only charge it with a 5v 1amp charge cord, which turns out to be hard to find. I did this and it still errored out with a stop sign when I was measuring houses. I didn't take the plastic battery cover with me, but was able to pop in some AA batteries and just hold them in. Bosch really needs to fix this as a USB-C battery properly implemented is a nice feature. Until then, the tool is amazing, the Li-ion battery is trash.
