I wanted a torso for my digestion section in my class. It is smaller, but fit in my budget and I got a heart and skeleton with it! They are sitting in my front exhibition desk during this section:)

They are bigger than the last ones I ordered which also came with the brain. These are a lot better I had to glue the shoulder blade back on and put the legs on the skeleton. I had to put the skeleton and heart stand together, and also put the skeleton on the stand. It came with a nice descriptive book. I took the heart apart which connects by magnets. It comes apart in 2 pieces. I took the body organs apart that most of the parts are held together by metal studs. The pieces do not fall out and if you forget how they go out shows step by step in the book it comes with.

Purchased for a special needs student and for my own learning experience. It helped in being able to visualize the parts, but neither of us could get the parts in and get them to stay in place. The body came wrapped in saran wrap to hold all of the parts together. We used it for a basic visual/ identification and overview of how the organs would go fit together and gave up trying to actually get it back together in the body.

It’s nice for maybe a middle school/high school level but college not so much. The skeleton misses the mark by a long shot. I have seen Dollar Tree Halloween skeletons with more articulations. The ball of the shoulder joint is attached to the anterior of the scapula instead of seated into the socket and only allows for abduction/adduction and not a full rotation or even anterior or posterior. They dod it with the hips so I’m not sure why the shoulders weren’t done the same. The wrist joint is another area that lacks the very necessary ability to show pronation/supination. The hands and feet are solid pieces with no separation of the bones. And the spine/head are fused with no movement at all. Note too that no numbers or labels exist to help with identification. The torso also lacks identification as well but isn’t a horrible model by any means. Though the brain is just a white blob with zero identifiers. The heart might be the best one if it had come with a key for what the numbers are referring to.

The models came extremely well packed in plastic and polystyrene and were in perfect condition and easy to put together. They are actually a little bigger than I expected which is a plus for me! I put my hand next to the models for scale.I cannot access models in the lab at college for the next few weeks so these are great to have at home to study regions, organs, bones etc, before my next exam.Highly recommend for anyone studying A&P or for kids interested in learning more about the human body.
