*** Second update, December ***Looks like it went toes-up yesterday after being fully-charged and then fully discharged. After all the charge it could accept, showed only 1 green bar, and would not run the blower for more than a second. I guess we can't believe "used, like new". Will let Amazon know, but I do not expect any adjustment from anyone.** Update in November, after a number of months: **First, the battery seems to perform well enough on a fresh charge, but (subjectively, to me) seems not to have the runtime of either a Flexvolt 6A or a new 5A. It is quite usable, but has to be charged earlier than expected. It was sold as "used, like new" at a somewhat reduced price, but were I to do it again, I would buy the new item. While the item looked new cosmetically, I suspect it of being a return with a bit too much mileage. Of course, my perceptions could be off, but I recommend buying only DeWalt batteries known to be new. For this item at least, the saving wasn't enough to be worth it. To be clear, the only use has been on a blower, where the original 5A battery had performed satisfactorily throughout its warranty period. It does make a difference when one is "raking" many oak leaves.I knocked off one star, only in respect of the used item. New DeWalt batteries have so far been 5 stars. It appears to be a DeWalt battery in good condition, sold used like new. Discounted enough to be worth checking out. Haven't done more than charge it and run a leaf blower (DCBL720) for a short time. The price was comparable to a 5A battery. The battery has bulk similar to the Flexvolt 6A, so it isn't ideal for every tool; the 5A is more compact. However, the 5A battery that came with the blower (purchased late 2019) was getting tired, and this fits, so good economy and

I have many DeWalt tools, most of which are pretty stingy with batteries. I have 3 or 4 that aren't, and that's why I spent the crazy amount of money for this one. My angle grinder, grass trimmer, leaf blower, and chainsaw will drain a 5Ah battery pretty quickly, but the 6Ah lasts much longer. For the price, it should have been a 20/60 dual voltage, so half a point off for that. 4.5 stars, highly recommended.

I bought this for my dad as a replacement for his drill as he was buying off brand ones that weren't holding a charge, this one holds the best charge and he loves it. Will definitely purchase again.

Update 03/30/2020. DeWalt came through with replacing the battery. 5 days after I contacted them online about this issue they replaced the battery no questions asked. This is why I will always stick with them. This is the best customer care experience I've had.Update 03/26/2020After about 30 charge/discharge cycles the battery won't hold a charge for more than a couple of minutes after it's taken off the charger. It shows 3 bars as soon as it's taken off the charger (charger says fully charged, red light continuously on) but if I use it for more than a couple seconds on any tool and then check again, the battery level drops to 1 bar and then it doesn't lights up again after a few more minutes of sitting around. It looks like there's something wrong with the cells and they only hold a surface charge that tricks the charger into thinking it's full when it's actually not.The battery has been used with a dcb906 drill and a leaf blower. Not impressed. As always a decent product from DW. Runs my DeWalt blower for 18 minutes, the drill for a few hours. Nothing to complain about here

This is a big battery that holds a lot of power. It is great for bigger tasks, such as powering a reciprocating saw for a long time. If you occasionally drill a hole or two, it is overkill. The biggest issue is weight: this battery is heavy. I have used it with my random orbit sander, and the battery is heavier than the tool. This can be a little difficult to control, but worth it when I have to spend an hour or more sanding (this battery will not last an hour of continuous use - I still need to swap out batteries). If you use power-hungry tools like powerful saws, or are using a lighter tool like a sander but for a longer period of time, this battery is worth having. Otherwise, probably not.The only issue I have with it is price. But the newer power tool batteries are all expensive regardless of brand. Milwaukee and Mikita are guilty of this, too. But you also get far better quality and life than off-brand batteries. AvE and Project Farm on YouTube go into detail, testing and tearing apart these batteries. You really do get better-quality cells when you buy a DeWalt v the generic brand. Some of the knock-offs also save cost by omitting some of the safety circuitry, such as the parts that shut it down if the battery overheats (which can be lethal with Lithium ion that close to your body).
