I normally don't leave reviews for things for any reason, but I'll bite this time because of how good this thing is.I'm a college student with maybe an hour every other day to clean. I don't have time for vacuuming and when I do I only had a sad little vacuum that's several years old. I have a golden retriever puppy that is going through his first shed, and two people close to me who are allergic to dog hair.First thing I noticed was that the tank filled incredibly fast. That's because of the sheer amount of dog hair and floor dirt it was picking up in literal seconds.Second thing I noticed was how hard it was to even move the thing due to suction power. I was literally having to strain to even think about getting it to move.My carpet is soft again. It leaves satisfying vacuum treadmills. It's not that expensive for such a good vacuum. It's a powerful little thing, and I love it. Plus, I no longer have enough dog hair on my floor to get a second golden retriever.Overall 5/5. It's so worth it, especially if you've only had sad and tiny vacuums and don't have a lot of money to spend on a 400 dollar one. Lightweight, compact, easy to fit into a tiny apartment.

I’ve always dreaded the day my Dyson upright older model vacuum cleaner would die because they no longer make them (think pre-Dyson ball). I had already purchased other vacuum cleaners to prepare but always ended up returning them. Why do they make the heads so small now? That’s that many times over you have to push the thing to cover surface area. Anyways, I needed something that would work on both tile and carpet and this does the job. It has a setting for bare floor and another for the brush roll to be on (carpet). There is also a suction adjustment setter. It’s called the suction control collar and it’s on the handle. At first I was having to push it with all my night to vacuum the carpet (clearly didn’t read any instructions) because the suction was so strong. Once I read the booklet and adjusted it I was thrilled because I can even use it on a beautiful high pile area rug I have. You can set it very low and use it on drapes as well. The value for the money is great considering I was paying $500 for my Dyons ten years ago and this was only $150. The quality seems sturdy. It has plenty of power. I would have liked a longer cord like my Dyson had but I have plenty of outlets so it’s just a matter of moving the plug around. This might be an issue for others, but not anythjng an extension cord can’t fix. The container that collects the dust is awkwardly shaped and makes it hard to shake everything out efficiently. I would buy it again and do recommend it.

I needed a vacuum that could turn off the beater bar for hard floors. This does a great job and is quite lightweight to push around. The cord is pretty long as well--it's not auto-retractable, but it's not that hard to wrap back up (would love an auto-retractable, though). It is not great on some of my rugs. It isn't adjustable height for the floor, so it gets stuck on one of my rugs that isn't even that high. On the other hand, it does great on a similar rug. So I can't quite figure out why, but if I turn off the brush roll, I can push it over the rug. I had another one like this model for many years, and I primarily used it to vacuum the car. All in all, it's a good vacuum for the hard floors, which is what I really needed.

I am so thrilled with this purchase. It was easy to assemble right out of the box. THE SUCTION IS PHENOMENAL!! It felt like I had never vacuumed my floors before! This vac pics up EVERYTHING on the first pass, including left over glitter from Christmas which you know can be hard to pick up.Your best friend is the Suction gauge on the handle. Turn it down so that you can use it on shaggier carpet like the one pictured. The vac is light but can seem heavy when you’re using because of the suction. Again, turn it down some, if needed, so that you aren’t struggling to use the machine. You will still be pleased with the results. The lift away feature could be a little easier to accomplish. Not that it’s hard but I’ve got to find something to complain about, right???You may have to dump the dust cup more than you’re used to because of the amount of debris this vac picks up. Don’t take it personal, lol! Just be glad you now have a better vac!!I almost went to my neighbors to ask to vac there!! Just kidding, but I did vac every carpeted room in my home after originally only intending to do the living room.It came with the dust brush and crevice tool. I’ll be purchasing the other accessories. Praying it lasts because it’s the best vac I’ve ever had!Ok, that’s enough. GET THIS VAC. Shark has done an outstanding job with this. It is well worth the price!

I previously owned Bissell vacuum on the cheaper models so I can’t compare the higher end models to this one. I also owned a Shark cordless stick. All I can say is this gold among copper coins. The way it glides on our carpet and laminated floor alone was like going down a butter slide. The suction is powerful on this. The lowest level picked up this much dirt in our room alone! It’s also quieter than the previous vacuums I’ve owned so that’s a plus since we live in an apartment. I just wish it has lights like the other shark I owned. I do like to see the dirt, dander, and hair that’s being picked up. We have 2 dogs that shed and a toddler who likes to make a mess. I don’t think I’m gonna buy another vacuum for a few years and I don’t think I’ll ever buy cordless or non-Shark brands, ever. I got this on a sale which is a lot cheaper than the cordless I have.To summarize— it is powerful, lightweight, get a bang for your buck, and works a whole lot better than I expected it to! If you’re on the verge of buying like I was, GET IT!
