Due to the wider mouth than the last gen. The flour is finer than the last gen dry container.

UpdateWhen I use the tampa and stir upwards, it blends eveningly and I'm in love with my dry cup. I would definitely recommend vitamix. You should have a smooth blend even before the one minute mark. Yes it gets hot usually by the 2 or third blend and needs to cool down unless you are making soup etc then it's okay cause your soup will get cooked.Disappointed!!!This dry blade container doesn’t blend evenly. I followed the intructions in the manual and still didn’t get an even blend. I even tried blending one cup at a time instead of two cups and I still got half smooth and half grains. The result was the same for oatmeal, rice, wheat and dry corn. And you can only blend for one minute because any time beyond this and the blender gets hot and heats up whatever is in the container. You would have to wait for it to cool down and then blend again. Even that, I still do not get a fine flour. I had so much higher expectation for this brand but right now very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this dry container . The wet container I have no issues with. But not worth your money on this dry container. It’s a waste of money. Now I have to invest in another appliance that can blend into fine flour.
