Motherboard is great. My 9800X3D works on it right out of the box, no BIOS upgrade needed. I wish they included more M.2 rubber pads for single sided SSD’s. They include 2 but there’s three slots, so you’ll need 3 if you plan on filling all 3 slots with single-sided NVMe’s. The PCIe slot leaves a lot of be desired. The releasing mechanism is so flimsy that it’s never once worked well. You push down the latch and it doesn’t help to eject the graphics card. It flips up but slides past the graphics card, pinning it in the open position. Cheap design. Other than that, I have no complaints. Plenty of USB ports and support for lots of RGB and fans. One last thing I want to mention is the board came with two slightly bent pins for something on the bottom left of the board. I don’t have the manual in front of me nor did I use it, but it arrived bent, like it was manufactured like that, but not supposed to be that way. Doesn’t really affect my use case but I wanted to mention everything.

Incredible product without breaking the bank. As someone who has always used the A series boards like the A520 with my old ryzen 5800x. I was going to just get an A620 board but decided to get a few more bells and whistles. This board honestly gives everything a $500 board does except a second mortgage on your house. It's even good for moderate over clocking due to it's beefy vrm's on the north bridge. Beautiful board on top of that and even has a slot at the bottom for my sound card! Aura Sync is by far the best rgb software and that's just icing on the cake from Asus!

Great and easy motherboard to build with. My second build with a TUF motherboard and fourth build so far. Paired it with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D.PROS:- Board feels really solid.- I appreciate the subtlety of the small RGB as I was just going for a blackout build, but you can easily turn it off.- Setup was quick, easy to find amd EXPO settings for the ram and auto adjust my fans in the BIOS.- Future upgradability was one of the focuses for using this board as well, WiFi 7 - PCIe 5.0, etc.- BIOS was already updated for my cpu.- Sound is decent enough, but you will always get better sound for a dedicated DAC.CONS:- Not worth cutting a star, but the manual was VERY basic.. it doesn't explain details very well like how the securing latch works on the m.2 drive or that you need to use one of the included rubber risers if your drive isn't double sided. A few other things I had to look up, but I was able to find my answers on youtube.- Amory Crate needs some work, it isn't the greatest, but its fine.Overall, very solid board and I'm glad I went with it.

I’m seriously impressed with the ASUS B850 WiFi motherboard. From the moment I installed it, it’s been nothing short of excellent. The build quality feels premium, and everything about the design is well thought out—clearly made with performance and ease of use in mind.Installation was straightforward, and all components fit perfectly without any hassle. The built-in WiFi is strong and stable, which is a huge plus—no need for extra adapters or cards. It also supports all the features I was looking for, including great BIOS options and future-proof connectivity.Whether you're building a new PC or upgrading an existing rig, this board delivers solid performance, stability, and features that punch well above its price. Highly recommended for gamers, creators, or anyone wanting a reliable, high-quality motherboard.

There are newer chipsets and I largely went with this because of the price to get to the AM5/DDR5 platform without having to sell a kidney. The firmware was pre-flashed with a version that already supported Zen 5 already, so I didn't have to try to figure out how the headless flash function works. There was still a newer firmware version out there, so I still recommend updating, but you should be able to do so as normal through the menus. There is a lot to be said about ASUS one way or the other, but the motherboard firmwares are pretty good with excellent options. There are bonus extras that many others forget like the uncore/memory "OC mode" which doesn't actually overclock (they should probably change that name) but can help with performance. There are lots of other little things here and there, some of which I haven't seen in a few of the other firmwares right now. Nothing major, but altogether you have a lot of control over your system configuration. This doesn't only allow for good overclocking, but just better control altogether (for example, even lowering clocks is easy to do if you want a system to run cooler and quieter.) It even can override CPU speed to a fixed speed if one was so inclined (you have to be _very_ careful with this, but it can yield good results if the cooling can handle it.)The WiFi and Bluetooth functions were a nice little bonus. In Linux they just worked right out of the box for me, so big plus there. (I half expected that they wouldn't work and I'm sure ASUS wasn't thinking of Linux users, but I'm really glad that it does work. Nice bonus feature.) I didn't even know about the Bluetooth until I saw it show up in Linux, but that's a very useful feature to have built in to the motherboard. It also has three M.2 slots, though I'm a bit confused about the PCI-E/M2 configuration in this system. I originally read this as a PCI-Express 5.0 system, but it may only be the first M.2 slot? Very confusing. If it's PCI-E 4.0 only on the PCI-E slot perhaps that will limit later GPU options, but today even if a PCI-E 5.0 card comes out I seriously doubt it could utilize the capabilities of 5.0.All in all a really good bang for the buck if you're looking for something that isn't the absolute top of the line but has plenty of features. The fact that it just works right out of the box with Linux also is an excellent plus.
