This says it works for data, but for my application of taking a USB-C lavalier mic and hoping to get it to work with a lightning equipped iPhone, it didn’t work.It does work for charging. I’m not sure these are being advertised honestly with that inclusion of “data”, maybe what I tried to do is outside the realm of data transfer but the point is, if you’re looking to convert USB-C to Lightning for the purpose of an external device—like a microphone, this didn’t work for me.

Good quality! Only good for charging. Will not work for data transfer

These adapters are great - it’s frustrating when you have USB-C cables everywhere but there are still a few devices with Lightning ports around. This solves the problem for very little money. The quality is good - they’re solid metal and feel very sturdy. They fit well too without any wiggle on the devices I use them with (iPhone and AirPods). I haven’t noticed any drop in charging speed either, so I haven’t come across any downsides.

Works exactly as intended. I don't use the little rubber holders because I just have a single baggy with all of my adapters in it. I do use the little end caps, though, because lightning cable has poor, obsolete design with exposed contacts. I only got these because they're a convenient option for charging my work phone on the go using my existing USBC standard stack up.
