Fantastic coffee machine had several before but this is by far the best , it grinds and gets a great cup of coffee you can determine the strength, no more weak coffee

Watched some youtube videos and read the reviews on here and I took the plunge. I'm so glad I did. Despite the modest price tag, the machine is very high quality. I like the fact that you can strip it down for easy cleaning. Makes delicious coffee. I highly recommend this coffee machine. Don't be fooled by the price!

First of all it works and the coffee is pretty decent, I like the built in grinder so you can do beans to cup and get that lovely smell. Easy to use and the timer works fine. You can change the strength of the coffee too. There are a few challenges which is why it’s only 3/5. Firstly the jug itself drips when you pour so every time I pour a cup I have to clear up a spillage. Secondly, the non-drip tap where the coffee comes from is supposed to stop when you take the jug out, which means you can pour a cup whilst it makes more coffee. It doesn’t, it still drips and you end up with burnt coffee on the hot plate which isn’t great. Thirdly, you can only use the brewed coffee for 40 mins, which isn’t long enough. By the time I’ve had my first cup the time is up, and the whole point for me was to be more economic and make coffee that’ll last a long time. Lastly, you have to wash it up every time you use it and can’t use a dishwasher. Goes with the territory for these so can’t really fault the manufacturer but if like me, you are moving away from the incredibly un-environmentally friendly (and now ludicrously expensive) pods, you need to be aware.

We have been using this machine for over a week now and have found it to be excellent. We wanted a bean to cup machine that would do the basics. This machine grinds the beans and then makes a glass jug of coffee and keeps it hot for around 40minutes before switching off. You can also use ground coffee instead of beans which we like the idea of. We ordered a 1kg bag of beans to get started and then followed that up with a 1kg bag of decaf beans. There are loads of coffee bean packs you can order. The machine is straightforward to use but read the instructions first. Also do not forget to register the machine and get the extra years guarantee. We bought this on an offer price so for what we paid we have a very good machine. Even the full price is reasonable for the machine. The machine casing is a thick plastic which does have some stretch in it so do make sure that it is all clipped together on delivery. The whole thing was very well packed and taped up inside the box.Cleaning the grinder is easy but you need a small brush to remove the used beans from the lid part of the grinder unit. We got a pastry brush for the job but you could use a new unused half inch paint brush if you wanted to.The glass jug is quite sturdy and you can obtain a replacement from a number of outlets. The same applies to the grinder fitting. We had forgotten just how good freshly made coffee at home can be and so this machine is going to get plenty of use.

Good value. Easy to operate and makes good coffee from ground or from beans. Keeps coffee hot for 40 minutes and easy to empty filter and clean. Not for those who like the ultra sophisticated Barista style coffee makers but it is a compact and reliable machine and at a very reasonable price. Last one I had lasted 15 years

We were happy owners of the Russell Hobbs platinum grind and brew for 6 years so, when the time came to replace it, we looked at what Russell Hobbs had to offer and found this. On the manufacturer's website, it is more expensive than the original Platinum model at £139 so the price we paid is excellent. We read the other reviews and had a few reservations but decided it was worth the risk. This is a good solid machine, very easy to use and produces good, balanced and tasty coffee. There are three strength options but we have only found it necessary to use the weakest. The biggest difference between this and the platinum is that the coffee grinder is integrated into the filter so you have to measure in the exact amount of beans that you need. However, this is easy with the scoop provided - one scoop per cup. Tip: a cup is half a mug - we always make four cups for two mugs! The timer is easy once you have read the instructions. We put the beans and water in each evening, press the timer button (once set it retains it's settings) and wake up to fresh coffee. The grinder is much quieter than our old one and very effective.A few reviews have commented on cleaning. I don't understand how some think this is difficult to clean. The filter lifts out easily with the handle. Empty the coffee grounds into the bin and give it a tap on the side of the bin to get as much as possible out, then simply rinse it thoroughly under running water and leave to drain. There are two minor reasons why I have deducted a star. The first is that the coffee is not as hot as I would ideally like - we drink ours black so it's not a huge problem but might be if you like a lot of milk. The second is that the hot plate only stays on for 40 minutes which means we can't make extra and go back to it an hour later if wanted - our old machine stayed on for two hours if needed. All things considered, this is a very good machine for the price.

Having read all the reviews for so many of these bean to cup machines I wasn’t sure I’d get a decent one for this kind of price and given the mixed reviews on this one I wasn’t sure I’d sure I’d be sending it back. However, that’s not the case. I’m completely satisfied with it. The quality is amazing for the price. I have figured out how to make coffee to my taste by adjusting the grind to a higher number of cups than the number of cups I actually need then adding slightly more water than required as some stays in the coffee grinds. It’s no more noisy than any other grinding but the coffee making is very quiet. The coffee temperature is perfect for me as I like everything hot. All round, I highly recommend this machine. I think the price belies the quality of the product and it compares favourably to more expensive machines. I love my Nespresso pod coffees this is a far more cost effective option for decent coffee.

Brilliant coffee machine, better than most at silly prices, makes a really nice coffee, very easy to clean and set up, very good quality, at a bargain price.Takes beans and ground coffee (if using ground coffee you need to make sure the blade is off in the settings)Highly recommend 👍I use taylors decaf beans, really nice
