I ordered 2 Tumella umbrellas back in March for my kids and they have exceeded my expectations! The designs are vibrant and beautiful. There are so many prints to choose from! The umbrella is very durable. It’s very portable and compact. It’s super smooth to open and close. The coverage is great for both children and adults. On top of all this, their customer service is top tier. Recently one of the umbrellas tips broke and the company sent me a replacement. The customer service representative was very attentive to the situation and very quick to respond. I reached out about my umbrella on a Tuesday and received my new replacement that Saturday (only 4 days later!!! Wow!) excellent excellent customer service. The representative followed up with each step (let me know it had shipped and reached out when it was delivered to make sure I was satisfied with the new umbrella. I will be ordering another for myself soon. If you get one expect to receive a ton on compliments on the beautiful design and be assured that you are spending your money on a quality umbrella with customer service that stands behind their product.

The quality of the umbrella I purchased from Tumella back in August of 2024 prior to my trip to Japan was one of the best I’ve ever owned. So it was with great irritation that during my vacation through Spain and Portugal this September, I left it in my hotel room near the end of the trip.Upon returning home, I ordered another one and decided I’d let the company know how much I valued the quality of this item. (They include a letter with the umbrella that tells a bit about the company, their goals, and how to contact them should you need a replacement, etc.) I wasn’t reaching out for a replacement for my lost umbrella – it wasn’t damaged – I only wanted to give them some positive feedback.I was so surprised when they offered to replace my lost umbrella! Wow. One seldom experiences excellent customer service these days, at least I don’t. I was pleasantly surprised at the offer, so I tracked down the order number from 2024 and sent it to them. I received the replacement umbrella on October 19. Now, I have two high-quality umbrellas.They have won me over as a lifetime customer. I appreciate their personal service, and I highly recommend this company to anyone shopping for a new umbrella. Thank you, Tumella!

They advertise this as the strongest windproof travel umbrella. It actually very strong and well-made. You can see it just by looking: While other compact umbrellas have thin aluminum rails, cheaply riveted or pinned joints and thin springs, this one is all-around beefier and tougher even though it's the same size and weight. I can't vouch for how long it will last yet, but it has taken a beating already in a nor'easter.One negative point: It's NOT entirely windproof. I got caught in a serious gust and it popped inside out like the others. Not nearly as frequently as my cheaper umbrellas, but it did and after it did it was so strong it dragged me away before I got it under control. Be warned that it can do that!

A compact size and one-handed operation sounded perfect for when I’m juggling a bag, a coffee, and suddenly changing weather. It’s light enough to forget it’s there, yet sturdy enough to feel dependable when the forecast looks uncertain.I’ve used it in a few routine moments outside: waiting at the bus stop, stepping into doorways during light showers, and strolling through a crowded area with a gusty breeze. It opens with a simple press of the button and folds away just as quickly. At a little over a pound and about 11 by 2.75 inches when folded, it slips into a backpack pocket or car door pocket without crowding space, and the 42 inch spread provides good coverage.What stood out most is how well it handles wind. The vented double canopy seems to let gusts pass through rather than turning the umbrella inside out, which has kept me dry and upright on breezy days. The waterproof coating works well and the grip stays comfortable even after a damp walk.One small quirk is that in very humid or rainy conditions it can take a moment to dry after being packed away, and the automatic mechanism can feel a touch firm in very cold weather. Still, these are minor tradeoffs for a dependable, low fuss umbrella. Overall, it earns a five star impression from me.
