Does Amazon take any steps to ensure that the product description matches the actual product? I pulled the base of this table out of the box and it is clearly some sort of resin, not solid wood. It even sounds hollow. The base is very lightweight and you can see the chips in the resin. I wanted solid wood as it was described as, but for the price, I should have known better.

I looked everywhere for a round pedestal table that would not break the bank. I wanted it black, able to seat six, and without any distressed look to it. I wanted just a nice, clean looking modern round pedestal table. This is the only one I could find that matched my requirements that was priced below $3,000. I was a little concerned about one of the reviewers that said the base was not solid wood as described and here is what I discovered: the table top and the FLAT BASE of the table ARE solid wood as described. But the actual PEDESTAL of the table is not solid wood. I can't tell the material, but it's not heavy enough to be solid wood. So, the description here isn't actually inaccurate, but it's not very clear, either. That being said, you'd never know from just looking at it that the pedestal is not solid wood, and the table seems very sturdy regardless. So, long story short, I'm quite happy with this purchase, especially at this price. Arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble, although it's heavy enough to be a two person job, just FYI.

Diameter is 8" less than described. Not solid wood, base is painted resin that came with multiple scratches showing the white resin underneath. Top has faux looking veneer. Color not as dark as shown. Very disappointed! Not worth the $1,000.00 price at all! The Ccompany offered a 35% discount to keep it as well as the credit I received from Amazon for opening a charge; it's now sitting in my formal dining room.

Nothing was missing or broken. The table is heavy and strong. Easy to put together but you need 2 people. It’s beautiful and I’m very pleased. Reasonable price for this style table. It can sit up to six people. Love it!

This was an expensive table. They delivered the wrong size and it looks cheap in no way does it look like wood and the top comes into parts so there’s a huge slit down the center and I thought this was a single round top. The split makes it look even cheaper, I contacted Amazon two times to confirm the color and the size and they still delivered the wrong size. The seller is a scam do not purchase you have been warned. Poor quality bad customer service! Also has dents and they want me to bring back the heavy table!!!!! It was delivered on a palette was wrong and they think I can bring to ups!!!!! Drivers will NOT wait for you to confirm the package either! Stay away!!!!!
