As for all of us, we all have our own stories to tell. My car has 80K on it and I've taken it to the dealer every 30k for the flush. Something happened during last years winter. The transmission was just shifting funny, no pickup, and then the whining sound started. Being its a $340 dollar drop taking it to the dealer to flush it.Talk about BS not having a transmission dipstick to check fluid level so it forces you taking it to the dealer. Here's a piece of info that is total BS i heard from the dealer. I'm paying them $340 dollars to suck the fluid out with a machine without even replacing the two filters inside the transmission. There's the main pan filter and there's another one that on the auxiliary cooler that goes to the radiator. Doesn't this make you wonder eventually the filters will get clogged up and cause the CVT to fail by overheating. I'm certainly no expert on this but I could be right on that one.Making a long story shorter. I told my mechanic about the issues and he said he would do the trans flush for $110. I bought the fluid and the filters. Boy, I tell you the car drives like new now. Shifts awesome and the car actually has balls again. This is definitely a good alternative to nissan NS3 fluid going for over $20 a quart.

I have a 2003 Honda odyssey with a BYCA transmission (5 speed automatic) and I drained and filled once with this fluid and it has worked well so far. The shifting was right away noticeable along with the smoothness. The color is on point compared to the last fluid I had in there which was the same brand. No leakage at all and I can say the durability on this fluid is strong and reliable.

Works great for my 2008 Mini Cooper S Hatchback shifts smooth on all the gears.

Looks like every automotive fluid product nearly doubled in price due to "inflation" and "supply channel issues" since 2021. It's just profiteering and this product is no exception. Great stuff but way overpriced like all of its "competition". Have used in multiple vehicles.

What a wonderful and great product and very affordable! I used to buy Honda automatic transmission fluid from the dealer or Amazon. It is very pricy but I think it is good for my 2001 Accord. Now the car is over 20 years old, I don't want to spend $11 a quart anymore so I tried Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid and the result is very good, but I still don't understand why this product can work both for ATF and CVT. I think I would not take the risk to put it in my 2018 Civic with CVT unless I can get more details. But I have good faith to put it in ATF and the car is running much better than the genuine product and save a lot of money!

2016 Nissan Versa 1.6 has 153k on it and it was whining worse then a teenager with no WiFi!! 🤦🏽‍♂️ Anyway i changed the fluid with OEM Nissan NS-3 that didn't help....so then everyone and their ancestors were insisting that I try amsoil saying that they guarantee this is the best fluid in the world and it will for sure get rid of that whining and fix any kind of issues I'm having!....of course that didn't happen i tried it but it was still whining like a toddler!...i even tried Valvoline CVT! I now regret it cuz it made the whining even louder! 🤷🏽‍♂️ Before saying screw this car I'm heading to the Toyota dealership someone had told me about this new Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT and at first i thought no way the colors not the same and this is universal fluid and the excuses i had went on and on BUT.....I DONT KNOW HOW OR WHY!?! BUT THIS FLUID IS A MIRACLE FOR THE ANNOYING NISSAN CVT'S!! NOT ONLY DID THE WHINING STOP BUT IT SHIFTS BUTTER SMOOTH AND FEELS LIKE IT DID WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR!!! THIS STUFF IS AMAZING BOTH THE PRICE AND THE ACTUAL PRODUCT WORKED BEST FOR ME AND MY ANNOYING JOURNEY OF THE CRY-BABY CVT!! IF U TRIED IT ALL AND ARE ABOUT TO GIVE UP GIVE THIS FLUID A SHOT IT DID WONDERS FOR ME!!! THANKS CASTROL!!!! 💯

Used in 2006 Nissan Murano. This fluid is NS-1, NS-2 & NS-3 rated. Its specs are also better then OEM Nissan fluid. It worked great in the Nissan Murano at a fraction of the price. Do not be confused with the size it is 1 Gallon (4 Quarts) not 5 Quarts.

I wrote a review saying that this product is a great low priced alternative to a OEM brand from the car manufacturer. I also mentioned that I was a chemical engineer working in base oil refining for many years before moving to B2B lubricants sales so I know a thing or two about how these products compare to OEM fluids. Amazon did not approve the review.I will simply leave it as this product is great and covers a huge range of car brands. Check out the Product Data Sheet (PDS) from Castrol to see the specs. I used this in my vehicle instead of the OEM car brand fluid. Have had no issues and saved a bunch of money.
