For its price, I (so far) I'm very happy with this ProFX12v3 mixer.I have one issue, but I can work around this issue using this mixer's Bluetooth feature.I contacted Mackie support. They state this is a Microsoft (Windows 11 OS) issue.I will explain my issue ...One usage (important to me);I want the person on the other end of my Skype conversation to hear my microphone,my direct electric guitar and background music(that I add via my Windows 11 OS's "Windows Media Player [WMP]").Meaning, my Windows computer is running Skype and WMP,while I have my Mackie mixer attached via USB.Above: This works, until I press the play button on WMP.Then, the other Skype user, only hears a garbled sound. When I pause WMP, the other Skype user can (then) properly hear my microphone,my direct electric guitar and background music (that is fed into my mixer's Bluetooth channel).I get the same issue when playing YouTube audio using a browser, instead of my WMP.Everything I hear via my mixer's headphone setup is good(including hearing the other Skype user's audio). The other Skype user's audio comes into my mixer viamy mixer's USB channel (from my Windows 11 computer).I have "Loop Back" active (although "Standard" mode acts identical). My microphone and my direct electric guitar are plugged into the mixer's strip channels.Again; What I hear is always good. What the other Skype user hears is garbled (in the above described situation). It would be nice if (both) I and the other Skype user could hearall audio my Windows 11 OS generates (via USB).Above: This is supposed to be the ability, but (apparently) I have discovered one compromised situation.

The was a great mixer! The sound has good a quality to it and having the on board compressor is a nice touch. I live-stream/Content creator and this mixer helped out a lot. Unfortunately, it lasted only 4 years. The audio on the monitoring started to fade out or go completely silent in my headphones. The audio would remain unchanged through my recording and live-streams, but hearing myself and my desktop audio is super important. This unit DOES run pretty warm. I only gave it 4 start because I think 4 years of service isn't very long to me.

I was impressed with this unit right out of the box. It feels sturdy and well put together. I tested every single input and output, as I was teaching myself the Mackie routing matrix and everything worked as it should. The effects sound very good and there’s a respectable number of them. Note that you also have inserts if you need to stack or bring in others to any available channel.Full disclosure: I actually returned this particular unit and upgraded to the Fx16. Not due to any fault in the product. I just wanted the capability of separate monitor mixes. The Fx12 has only one monitor out jack and the Sub outs are independent of the channel aux gain settings. So … this require daisy chaining multiple monitors, which will all have the same exact mix. That configuration works perfectly well in a lot of stage situations, but I wanted a little more power. So for a small, very affordable mix top, I think this will do nicely.

I bought this to replace an old Roland VS2480 DAW that I've been using as a mixer for my home studio. This Mackie ProFX12v3 mixer doesn't seem to color the sounds I'm used to hearing. It's super quiet, just as quiet as the 2480. I mostly play guitar (elec, acous, classical) and for my electrics I use a Fractal FM3 modeler directly into the 9/10 stereo channel. It's really great to have stereo channels and the BT channel as well. The rest of my system is a piar of 80's NS10 speakers, a nice little Crown D60 amp and an Infinity 12 inch down angled subwoofer to help balance out the lowend. I've worked hard to get my sounds and this mixer is welcomed addition to process and my home studio.
