I love British and Irish police procedurals! I have read most of these David Pearson titles. I prefer female protagonists which these books provide. My problem is that the more of them I read the less female they become and the more clunky and unreal they feel. The descriptions of a reportedly beautiful area of Ireland have become minimal, the characters are flat. I wonder if Mr. Pearson has run out of energy for these particular characters and their home?
