Murder of Pearl " by Nellie H Steele is a fun new cozy mystery thriller that will make you laugh, leave you puzzled, astounded with murderous action, and wonder who would have a real carousel in their house.The story revolves around two sisters, Kelly and Jodi Silverman who work at Pearls Unlimited, a company that specialized in obtaining and setting pearls into pearl set jewelry. Kelly is the pearl shucker, removing the pearls, and Jodi takes care of the business end. The two would perform at private pearl parties to sell their jewelry. The excitement begins when the sisters are booked at a birthday party for the family's matriarch, Pearl, at the Willow Lake Estate Mansion. Oyster pearls aren’t the only thing on the mind of one (or more) party participants, but murder is also on the agenda.I found the sisters, Kelly and Jodi, delightful. With conflicting personalities, they actually complement each other while giving the reader opposing possibilities of who could have been responsible for the deadly deed. I have to warn readers that with so many possible suspects, you may have to grab a pen and paper to sort out the motives, opportunities, and means.I enjoyed the story, the suspense, the interactions between the two sisters, and finally the somewhat complicated relationships between the suspects and the victims. I highly recommend the Murder of Pearl.
