I am such a storage geek! I already had a 1TB M.2 and 3 1TB SSDs in my computer. 4 TBs should be enough for anyone that isn't storing backups or editing a lot of photos or videos, right? Evidently not. OK, to be fair to me, storage geek, my 1 TB had a problem, well, maybe it was a PC problem, but I messed up the drive. The WD Black 4 TB was on sale, so I grabbed it. My motherboard has to M.2 slots, so I just dropped it in, rebooted, changed the boot sequence, and reinstalled Windows 10. (not a Win 11 fan) So, like I said in the headline, easy to install if you build computers. I still have the slightly troubled OS installed on my old WD Black 1TB and my games spread across the 3 SSDs, so I have 3-1/2 TBs of available drive space on my main drive. The drive is plenty fast for me. Windows comes up very quickly and it takes no time to save or open files. It is a great drive and I got it for a nice price. There are faster drives available, but be prepared to pay quite a bit more for them. I don't really know why you would need anything faster. It's like going 80 on the highway for 3 miles to get home faster. You only save a few seconds over going the speed limit.Buy this drive. It hasn't let me down.

Bought this 3 months ago for $58.99 with heatsink now its doubled in price and probably will again in 2024 if not more from what I've been reading about the production of ssd component's slowing down and increasing in price in 2024. I would buy it now, been very reliable and crazy fast but needs a heatsink, all ssd's get extremely hot without one and will start to fail. I've had no issues and bought a second one before the prices go up higher. I put the first one in my PS5 and transferred 850gb in minutes and seems to load games faster than the PS5's own memory and it's working great. Also one of the fastest gen 4 SSD drives out.

Great brand, nice SSD hard drive. These are very fast high quality SSD hard drives. I have bought Western Digital Hard drives for over 20 years and have used the Black series since they were introduced. I liked the fact that they always offered longer warranty for the black series. I still have several Western Digital hard drives in use from the mid 2000's. I currently have 8 Western Digital Black platter Hard drives and 4 Western Digital Black SSD hard drives in use. Great product and good value for the money.

My personal computer needed more storage, and this one’s faster and holds more than any other. It’s also fast! Better than Samsung by far!
