I fought with this stuff for a while on my ender 3 and here’s what I’ve found:-You don’t need to dry it. I’ve let it sit out for weeks and can still print awesome looking and very functional parts (I’ll admit that I live in colorado, but we’ve had a lot of rain/humidity lately).-You don’t need a heated enclosure, you don't even need an enclosure at all.-You don’t need fancy plated nozzles or silicone socks for your hotend (though they don't hurt to have).-THE FIRST LAYER IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.To get good prints, do this:Make sure your build plate is properly leveled. Then, go to your slicer settings and adjust the FIRST LAYER settings to have a print speed of 30-50 mm/s, a layer height of 0.2mm or shorter, and a bed temp of 70-80 degrees C. The rest of the layers you can print at whatever settings you want, though I would suggest also increasing your z-hop height during any kind of traveling. I print this stuff very successfully (now) anywhere from 50-550 mm/s, but I tend to keep it at 500 mm/s.Printing the first layer at a very short height and slow speed helps the filament to really squish onto the build plate without the “squish” (line width) protruding too far from each side of the nozzle. If you go too fast or lay down too tall/wide of a layer, the filament will cling to the sides of the nozzle much easier and then start ripping up whatever has already been printed until you have a big stringy gloopy mess (or a ruined hotend that is completely encased in molten plastic). This stuff is great though, it prints faster than PLA and has such good layer adhesion that it creates very strong and functional parts (I use it for gears and other high strength applications). Its weirdly cheap too!! Hope this helps someone :)

This filament has been such a great experience after getting retraction worked out! prints very smoothly and is able to be printed at high speeds! i currently have been printing with it at 1mm retraction (direct drive extruder) 300 mm/s 260 degrees C and have had fantastic results! supports break away easy but the parts themselves do not break! i printed a sheet roughly 3" x 4" just to see how far i could bend it without it breaking and i was actually able to fold it in half without it snapping in half! i then tried to continuously bend it back and forth to see if i could get it to tear or beak and it still wouldn't! i am extremely happy and impressed with this PETG as i have mainly only printed in PLA, but it is safe to say im probably never going back to PLA and this is going to be my go to company to get my materials from! With how bad of a name PETG has for stringing, the stringing that i have is extremely minimal, thinner than a strand of hair strings here or there but not all over the place or at every move like ive seen soooo many videos have happen with various brands of course. those little strings are easily fixed with a quick wave over the stove at low heat and then you are left with perfectly printed parts that feel even more smooth with a slightly more glossy finish! i HIGHLY recommend ELEGOO's RAPID PETG filament! after my first spool used i have been hooked and have ordered more spools in various colors and cant wait to try them! Again I am extremely satisfied and very happy with the affordability of the filament, the speed you are able to print, the strength of the prints, the finish of the prints, and the stringing is a very negligible amount as to not be concerned with! ELEGOO has earned my business! my ONLY complaint is there is a limited amount of colors currently available and i really hope to see more variety with colors which i hope include color shifting, glow in the dark, and glittery styles! Thank you ELEGOO again for making this filament so easy and quick to work with! the bigger tube object is a fully 3D printed lamp i am currently working on, printing the led tube / lamp shade piece in white! and will be adding that to the photos after it is complete! Again THANK YOU ELEGOO for making such a great filament that is able to handle higher speeds and is VERY durable!
