Easy setup, the knurled knob to tighten the arca swiss plate is very useful (prefer this over other products with a tension clip, which needs adjustment with a hex screwdriver as not all arca swiss plates are the same size). You will however need a large screwdriver or a coin to tighten the provided mounting plate securely to the camera (the little foldable D-Ring on the screw does not provide sufficient grip). The panning/tilting motion is very smooth, the resistance for each axis is separately adjustable to match the weight of the camera and lens. The level gauge is slightly hard to see once everything is mounted. I see this as a consequence of the compact design.Overall feels like a solid product, rather compact and lightweight, and at least while it is new, good quality.Note: this video head actually comes with a small hex wrench, which is hold magnetically inside. I have yet to figure out what to use it for. The wrench fits my monopod from a different brand, so it may come in handy one day.

Tilt movement was almost automatic as the head would return to a level position by itself. Pan movement was generally good, but you need some practice to get shooth shots. The unit is well built and small enough to use on a sturdy mini tripod. But . . .Tiny level display is basically useless as it is difficult to see and obscured by the plate above it. Almost impossible to see when the camera is mounted above it.Hex wrench is included but not even needed as the included thumb screw works fine to tighten the plateHad the attachment plate been rotated 90 degrees when designed, a cage or L-Bracket could have been used to mount a camera. As designed, you will forced to use the included ( or similar ) arca style plate.Handle could have been longer and a bit finicky to adjust. It actually fell off the first time I tried to use it?

UPDATE:This little fluid head is impressive. I used it twice a week over the last tow months and it performs flawlessly, allowing me to do controlled panning and tilting during recording, which I was only able to accomplish previously with an oversized fluid head. I use this with a small mirrorless camera and lens but it handles my larger 70-350 Sony lens without any problems when using a 100mm tripod plate, which lets me properly balance the weight.ORIGINAL REVIEWI did not expect this to be this good. When I got it in the mail and checked it out, I was a bit skeptical that it would be as good as my Ulanzi mini video head. However, upon putting in on my tripod and mounting the camera to it, I was proven wrong. This little head is smooth and the extension handle makes it easier to control. Leveling it is quick and easy. I have only used it once but all in all, I was very pleased with how it performed. The only con is that the level bubble is not easy to see once the camera is mounted and I had to move my tripod and quickly level it because the ground was uneven. I wish the level bubble was easier to see, but given the small size of this thig, I guess it is as good as it gets.

Recently, I have begun to delve into intentional camera movement photography. While I had a very good ball head, it could not prevent 'unintentional' camera movement while taking a photo. The unintentional part comes with age, very difficult to not shake even on a tripod with a long exposure.Saw a number of fluid, pan and tilt heads to consider. Truthfully, price, and the good reviews lead me to this choice.Price, because I didn't want to spend a lot if my idea didn't work'Problem solved. Just had the opportunity to setup and take a few trial shots. Worked perfectly. The intentional movement was vertical, there was NO wiggle when completing the shot. Will definitely improve my work. Now it is up to me to get everything else right. An update. As mentioned earlier, this was purchased to provide me with the stability to take long exposure photographs, while intentionally moving the camera. The attached photo was a 5 second exposure, and I was able to sweep the camera from left to right to obtain the desired result with no vertical motion, no jerk while panning.Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality pan and tilt head .
