I'm totally stumped on this filament. I bought several colors of the silky color filament. I'm pretty much unable to get a print to complete without getting clogged. Getting the filament out is also difficult as it has some thickening at the bottom. I'm using a prusa mk3s. I've been printing without ever having this problem till I bought this filament. So I've used half a spool trying to find a secret combination of settings that would work. I've tried temps from 195-230. I've tried various speeds. I've replace my print head. I've tried many retraction settings and some fan speeds. When I do a flow test it is doing great. but when I want to print anything large it always fails. It basically stopped extruding. I've tried drying the filament for several days. Nothing has worked. The best result was at 230 where it almost finished the print but was threading a lot. I've completed some prints by pausing when it gets jammed and unload and reload the filament but I gotta really be keeping an eye on it. I've taken my print head apart to clean things. After trying everything I loaded some older filament it printed fine. I bought another brand of filament and it also printed fine. I printed with a white polymaker filament I also bought and it worked fine. I've also noticed that when it prints it discolors the print with darker spots. I think it is a small blob. I feel at this point I've invested way too much time trying to get this to print reliably and finding other filaments like prusa, sunlu, and lovoon to all work without issues. This leads me to believe all the silk filament colors I have are bad or this brand is bad. If you can get it to print it looks real nice.

This silk chrome PLA has more of a shiny stainless steel look to it, which is exactly what I was looking for. Polymaker makes some of the best filaments on the market, and this PLA is no exception. It prints well using pretty standard settings, and the layer adhesion is somewhat better than most silk PLAs I've used. I like the finish I got on the Cybertrucks I printed at my normal settings - it's shiny, but not glossy. If you want a glossier finish, use a slower speed for the external perimeter (aka outer wall in some slicers).
